What inspired your game?
mostly Jojo's Bizzare Adventure

How did you incorporate the 'girly' theme into your game?
I focused a lot on the aesthetic with pretty colors, rainbows, but also some other styles that I tried bringing out the feminine side in.

i'm a sucker for those traditional drawings you did for this, and the storytelling is great!! great job, and you really pulled through despite your health! hope you're well!

the drawn / pixel art juxtaposition is FANTASTIC, i know for a fact i would be able to jam with it a bit more with some music - following to see where this goes & i hope you're feeling better!

The story is compelling and the visuals are awesome! I like the cross between hand-drawn and pixel art. I'm sorry to hear that you were sick during the jam and I hope that you can continue working on this soon!

Thank  you!  To be honest, I was a little worried many might not like the drawings, so I’m really glad to hear otherwise!

I love the hand-drawn CGs in between the gameplay—I'm glad I was able to see them better in the artbook with the game install :)

Developer

Thanks!  Haha, yeah, couldn't get them to fit the screen right in game so that's why I included them.  Really appreciate hearing people enjoy them!

This is a nice concept, it'll be neat to see what you're able to do with it once you're feeling better! This might be a resolution issue, but I found the text difficult to read on my monitor :)

Developer

Thank you!  Admittedly it's not something I'd anticipated having issues with in Game Maker when I drew the art, unfortunately.  Probably should have handled it differently to be honest.  It's something I think will be easy to fix in the future using digital art instead.

I loved the hand-drawn(?) art and storytelling. I noticed that the score didn't really matter though as the story would still progress even if you got fewer diamonds (looking at u Gangst4r). Still impressive amount of work for the time available. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks!  And yeah, there's no real game over state as the game is now haha.  It's something I'm still planning out in terms of finding out exactly how I want this game to be balanced properly and how easy or difficult I want it to be.

LOVED the Jojo inspiration here, it gives everything a really cheeky, fun feeling. Sorry to hear that you were under the weather while making this--hope you're feeling a little better now--really impressed with the progress you've made on this. Can't wait to see the music come together with these rad visuals!

Developer

Thank you!

It's a great game and I really loved the arts. However, I think you should put background music, as it is a game about dancing. I believe you'll improve it later, but the game is still funny anyway.

Thank you for the feedback!  Music was something I really wanted to try, since it’s something I don’t have much experience in, but sadly I’d got too sick by the time I was going to add any.  Thinking it will be one of the first things I work on when I come back to this project.

Oh wow those are really good drawings! I remember seeing in your discord post that you didn't have enough time to flesh things out -- I really hope you decide to keep working on this game, I would love to see the final product.  The little dance and "coin" collection was pretty fun, and I can see that growing into a standalone game of its own!

Thank you, Alvin!  I really appreciate you saying so!  I definitely plan to do more with it eventually, hopefully some time when I get my health back in order.  But tbh my plates are always spinning and it's hard to stay focused on one idea for very long lol.  It's a bit of a chaotic routine for me to go back and forth between projects.
