Very deep game! I'm amazed at how much you could cram in in so little time! Good job on the tutorial too
Another day older and deeper in debt. I like the art style. Nice job getting a tutorial in, could use more in world indicators for the smelter, I don't quite understand how that works, especially with the placement offsets
this hole thing is very cool and a looks very good very very impressive.kinda never could figure out how to move resoreses around. ui was to bid on my monitor i also found a bug for infinite money you can infinitely repeat the main quest and get rewards. Butt over all one of the best games in the jam
There's a video link in the game description. There you can see me struggle trying to juggle the resource piles around :) Having to make video tutorials for base mechanics was certainly not my intent though
Great game overall!
Nice game, that must have been a lot of work, especially the tutorial, which is very nicely done and motivating. The UI could be smaller though, so you can see the map better. I find the low-poly look and colors very appealing.
The tutorial really came about during the last 2 hours of development. I too was pleasantly surprised by how well it has turned out. Thanks for checking out the game! There's more to come soon
Very nice game, which even cames with a working in-game manual/quest! I'm impressed.
Very cool you have made a complete working game in 7 days.
Althought it's obv 5* from me, some points:
1. UI is the thing you can work on :)
2. Road tool could be enhanced
3. I needed to write something bad as a critique, so - pallete is far from ideal, too bright and not enough contrast :P
The hard critique is what is the most valuable at this stage. I have set out to turn this 7-day sprint into a marathon, if not for any other reason than to see for how long this pace can be sustained. You and other people have brought up valid issues and I am planning to address them all, as well as many complaints of mine own. I am very grateful for the people who were able to see through technical issues of this game to. Just know that there's much more to come.
Finished the main quest and then had trouble mining iron. Couldn't understand what I had done wrong. Looks good though but the UI was not great as it was incorrectly sized.
Executable crashes for me but web version works. It was a bit overwhelming and the UI clutter didn't help. Looks like there are a lot of systems so it can have potential!
Thanks for checking it out! The Win build is now fixed. There's also a full playthrough video of the game on youtube (link in game description). At this point, the playthrough communicates my vision for this project just as well as playing the game itself. The Win build however has a unique feature which both web version and video lack - much better colors (IMO).
You did all this in 7 days!? Amazing. Love the tutorial progress for learning.
It was a full-time+ week. It's amazing how well the tools have worked - Odin, Raylib, Karl's web build template, Clion (IDE+Debugger) - no major issues. Karl's Discord server and the people there were a great help too. A breath of fresh air after years of web-dev and its dev ecosystem
It looks overwhelming. i could not figure out how to play. the UI was blocking the view too hard.
PS: is there a darkmode?
Looks very interesting and intimidating :) Seems like a start for a big game. Very nice job!
It's kinda hard to understand but definitely impressive. After some polish and more gameplay would be nice full game.
