I really enjoyed this game! the creativity, atmosphere, mechanics, and visuals really stood out, and this game was REALLY easy to understand its mechanics, which is awesome to see in a jam like this! ๐ฎโจ
One thing that could be improved is difficulty ,its very hard at the beginning (for me) . I suggest the difficulty go in a linear could make the experience even better.
Overall, this was a fun and well-made game with its simplicity and the creativity, and I see a lot of potential! Makes me realize just how rough my own game is in comparison. ๐
We intended to make a slightly more elaborate difficulty progression, but due to time constraints we ended up not being able to do it. We will try to fix this in a more concrete version of Kit Captain, in addition to the millions of things we planned and discarded because they were too complicated to be done in a week, such as some different weapons and new stages. But we appreciate the affection towards our game, it means a lot to our team! <3
Super polished game I love it!!! I was hitting all those asteroids like a pro, and it's easy to figure out how to play, I didn't get confused haha. Not flying off the edge was pretty hard, but I still had a fun time. I wish I could've fought that boss instead of flinging myself off the edge of the map. The puns are really up my alley, and I love the green colour scheme. One of the best, Great job!!
Admittedly, we went a bit overboard with the game's difficulty, as we didn't have much time to test with people outside of our team.
The boss is a huge cheese covered in red wax, impenetrable by your simple zapper; if you manage to survive, he'll start throwing some knives, which you can shoot to deflect them and peel off his wax armor. Maybe with a little more pratice you'd definitely will be able cheese (LoL) him hehe! We put a lot of effort into the puns, so much so that each of the applications on your computer has some phrases that your personal assistant (the little mouse) will say when you click on them, knowing that the puns didn't go unnoticed is gratifying. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve the game in future more concrete demos and perhaps one day in a proper game.
This is my favorite game so far, 10/10.
It means a lot for our team to know this! <3
Fish milk? Even-milkier way? Micesoft Wintoes?! Haha! Admittedly, I'm not sure how I got out of that initial wintoes screen, but I made it into the actual game -- and wow. This is an underrated game for sure. This game has a really fun core game loop, and I could see myself playing this on mobile for ages. I think the score counter in the top right is broken, but I could see the progress bar on the bottom anyways. Dang, I'm a huge fan. Absolute fire game.
Edit: Oh the pixel art and the sound effects are spot on too. The whole package is top notch.
I also have to admit that we kept replaying it for no reason while coding, feels pretty addicting hehe! Glad you enjoyed it!!
This game is gorgeous!! I love The art and the game is really fun to play and the boss fight is really well done!! It can be a bit hard to stop yourself from flying into the the left side, but the game play is awesome. 10/10 all 5 stars
We made sure to ensure the game's visual identity by trying a reduced color palette for Wintoes and we see now that it was the right choice. I wish I (xphoenix) had had more time to invest in new music tracks, but I'm satisfied with the only music present in the game. Thanks for you feedback, it means a lot!!
