This is soso pretty! I love the surroundings and the cans, the f(r)ienddesign is PERFECT!!! I liked that i expected a fighting game and this was better and more layed back!

I really love the aesthetic!!! it's sooo pretty and I love the contrast of the monster and the fairy - really suits the theme!! sparklesss✧˖°.

I loved the concept for the game! Kinda reminded me of the early Starfox titles, but this time with a f(r)iend!

The colour palette was very cozy, very vaporwavy, but I feel the upgrades could have stood out a bit more as (especially the pink ones) blended a bit with everything else.

I think the controls could be a bit smoother, and add maybe a timer so you don't have to turn around looking for the last hearts, but very impressive work for the time and solo development cycle!

Challenging and very artful. I really wanted to see juxtaposition of the protagonist/f(r)iend as I feel like there was a story here begging to be told!

Did you create the f(r)iend yourself? I love its design.

thanks! I gathered a few references and just put something together in a panic since it was already the final day for me when I was making the model! really happy that you there was some story there, this was my first solo game jam so I guess I overscoped. thought the characters could be "opposites" to fit the theme, but I feel that didn't come across as I originally thought

How'd you go about making the model? In Blender? I'm really hoping to tackle some Blender tutorials in the future for this exact kind of art style.
I definitely get the "opposite" feel you're going for as well!

I love the art direction in your game; the use of pixel art for your skybox is such unique stylistic choice and I think it compliments your 3D models very well! This is a world I'd love to explore more of if this game develops further!

Developer

thank you! I definitely like the idea of having some magical girl simulator kinda game with this aesthetic, sailor moon was a big inspiration for me... but for now it's just a one time game jam idea :D

Really unique and interesting, although the mouse controls made me suffer Ë™â— Ë™

aww, sorry to hear! I added option to use keyboard and also invert Y axis but probably was not enough! what improvements would you have done?

Submitted

I'm really not a fan of the inverted mouse movements, and the mouse is too sensitive so I can't really be precise with the movements - those are my main complains.

The game is a good ideia...

But i don't understanding the context with this game jam.

Graphics is really good!

The game had a unique idea and execution, I think it fell a little flat on integrating the theme and animations. I did manage to beat the antagonist, but it definitely was a fun challenge!

This turned out awesome! I still remember the spinning cube, and the monster now definitely makes for a better antagonist. Are there exactly 100 hearts in the scene? I managed to eke out a win by grabbing exactly 51% of hearts haha!

Also, I'm so glad you added spacebar to invert the y-axis. That's a hallmark of effective playtesting -- meaning you must've playtested with someone that was about as directionally challenged as me!
