What inspired your game?
Real life, growing up in the early 2000's, and narrative media like Life is Strange and The World Ends With You.
How did you incorporate the 'girly' theme into your game?
It was the very basis of it, we wanted to tell the story about two girls having to work together despite being very different and having radically different lifestyles - that led us to tell a story that incorporates growing in the early 2000's, fashion trends & small town mysteries.

absolutely in love with this. aesthetic, visuals, writing, everything. amazing job.
i have played a very small amount of visual novels, but gave me a similar eerie feel as milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk which is a compliment of the highest caliber.
That is a massive compliment, thank you so much!!
Eduardo and I wanted to achieve a sort of "haunted adolescence" tone that comes from that feeling of growing up, looking around you, and realizing that things are a lot more complex than we initially expect them to be as teens. This was such a blast to explore this concept that the rest came together really naturally. Thank you so much for playing, and for the incredibly kind words.
The story and the writing has you on the edge of your seat while you learn about the characters and their lore! Love how the music changes between each girl and how they're portrayed through their blog pages, that's very cute and unique! The skills in the menu would definitely be so fun to play around with. Between the story, mechanics, and multiple endings this is a game with a crazy amount of potential to tap into, nice work!!
I feel very grateful that our little project resonated so much for you, thank you for the kind words!
The skills were programmed just-in-case and then I forgot about them entirely but they'll definitely see a return either in this or another project haha I'm very happy to have been able to do this narrative storytelling through their blogs, the very first concept that came to mind!
This game was amazing!!! It's my favorite thus far!
I love the writing style. All the characters have a unique voice!
Also I dig the internet simulator concept
Thank you so so much!!! That means a lot to us * - *
The characters were very clear visions in our mind, they very quickly took a life of their own so they were easy to write haha
Really enjoyed this! Love the vibe the art has. The music also added a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing what you make next ⭐
Big thank you! We worked really hard on making the atmosphere one where you wanted to linger, selecting the music was an adventure of it's own. Appreciate the encouragement for the future!!
Huge fan of the music , especially play plays during the Closure Ending. I can tell you put a lot of time into the dialogue as well, and you crafted a really immersive short story.
Thank you!!! This means a lot to us. We started off the plot and the dialogue sort of came naturally to us, it helped that we had a very clear vision of the characters and their relationships. Very glad you liked the game!!
Love the style of this one. Really evocative! Makes me feel like I should be doing more to personalise my own desktop experiences haha!
I can definitely see the Life is Strange inspiration as well :)
Thank you! We were trying to get that evokative nostalgia feelings. Our desktop experiences are quite radically personalized hahaha
Funnily enough we started throwing ideas around and then when we liked the concept I was like "whoops this is kinda LiS" but I absolutely love that game so it works!
(Also Gabby who has NOT played LiS proposed "Double Exposure" for the title based on concept and I was like "You know you're not beating the allegations right??? xD)
Awesome style and "virtual desktop in a game" -- it's actually so crazy how immersive it is haha! The storyline is very detailed and intricate, and I love how you switch between the two characters. I hadn't realized what had happened at first, and although I've just gotten into it, I'm excited to see how this plays out! Nice work :p
Thank you!!! The switching perspectives was one of the first ideas that came to mind with the "opposites attract" idea, I'm very glad you found it so immersive and enoyable! Appreciate the comment a lot <3
We played your game as a team and we really enjoyed your writing and aesthetic. We loved the contrast between the two characters and their rooms and vibes. Extremely engaging, no notes. We were glued to it the whole time, we got the CLOSURE ENDING. The writing, especially of Valerie and Marisol was really the best part, I hope you make more games in the future!
Thank you so so much for the comment! This was our first game project so that last phrase really means a lot ~
I'm very delighted that your team enjoyed the experience so much, congrats on the closure ending!
For the curious - There are two slightly different endings!
Interacting with more elements might give a bit more closure and I'll leave it at that ~
I felt nostalgic about this game because I also grew up in the 2000's. I loved the story either, but I am curious about where did Lex go, but this game is funny anyway.
Thank you for your kind comment! Very glad that you enjoyed the experience!
You're very welcome
