Game Description
A minimal, cozy planting sim. Our first attempt at making a game and using Godot.
How does your game tie into the theme?
You plant various herbs and watch your garden grow. Combining Luna and Sol type plants in the same area increases score.

I scored somewhat along the lines of 3400 and my only critique would be: I have no idea why :D the rules of the game were not clear to me.
Thanks! The music and sounds were really fun to make. The “planting” sound is just some carpet being scratched with some low-pass filters :D
Honestly us too :D It’s less about rules and more about just planting things and that probably needs to be clearer. There is some math to determine score multipliers based on how you’ve balanced the luna and sol plants in your garden around the plant being scored.
Really immersive. Chill and fun game. The particles and song are nailed. I love flowers. I'd love to zoom out to see all my garden :)
That’s great feedback. We considered having it zoom out at the end of every season too so you could see the growth happening but it just didn’t make it in.

Interesting puzzle game. I enjoyed seeing the plants, and trying to remember which was a sol vs a luna one. Could be a nice accessibility option to allow tool tips on hover of the plants if you wanted to check. I did feel like the growing of plants after a round felt a little random, and a couple times while panning I got stuck, but over all nice job!

Yes! We had these neat cards designed for this too and it just didn’t make it in. We ended up making the grass tiles a little lighter or darker to signify this but the player isn’t directly made aware of that. If we come back to this we’ll definitely incorporate that feedback.
