Really interesting concept - too see beyond the perspective of what they know and from the perspective that others don't.

Oooh, this is a really cool idea, having colorful objects only appear when you get close, so you have to react to obstacles in time. :o Love the sprites of the different characters too and interacting with them, seeing what they have to say. Gameplay was a bit finicky at times. Sometimes got stuck and didn't know why. Still enjoyed it though and would love to see more of this! ^^

  • the characters and interactions/conversations are nice
    • the demon is cool
  • i like the setting and the narrative
  • jumping over spikes is a little finicky. dying feels very abrupt.
  • i appreciate the checkpoints!
  • i like that different music plays depending on what power you're using. the music is a little short though.
  • wtf frog jumpscare -- it was very loud
    • the game also crashed after this lol

the game overall presents some cool ideas

here's a recording of my playthrough

I'd like to point out that the music feels very deep and lovely. It's very effective, I just think it should be a longer loop.

Interesting!  The use of the skunk in a colourless world is a nice one!  The ending felt like a soft lock assuming that was the ending. but lovely concept!
Tab is a strange key to use when playing with wasd controls. As soon as I changed to cursor keys it was better.

I love the interpretation of the theme, and the lens mechanic makes for interesting variation of obstacles!

My only complain was that I was dying and not really noticing why, especially when at the start when I didn’t notice there were obstacles in the first place. I think some feedback would be very welcome (some camera shake, sparkles at the hit position, and a brief pause are a just few suggestions!)

Very lovely and cute game overall!

Super cool interpretation of the theme and very enjoyable to play! The lens mechanic has huge potetial for visual story telling, allowing for different lenses to provide different perspectives on the world. I would've liked to see an area where you need to use all of your lenses to tiptoe your way through

I absolutely loved this game! Was kinda sad it was so short. The lens mechanic was really cool and definitely has a lot of room for expansion. The world is super cute and was a joy to play through. The fact that things you couldn't see were still there was a little jarring but not too bad. I like the thought put into why the main character can do stuff while no one else can! They themselves are black and white so removing colors would have no effect! Very simple, very cute, very enjoyable, definitely one of the better ones despite its short length.

This is a VERY interesting interpretation of the theme, and the color lensing effect is both subtle and revealing. The music pieces are each in of themselves fantastic; even if they don't quite fit or transition well when switching lenses.

The game could communicate death better than with an instant next frame respawn. Player motion and acceleration could be softer and squishier, jumps a littler airier on ascent and faster on descent. (the character feels heavy like a brick)

The demon world was a fun surprise, but weird because suddenly you have colliders in the other lenses that weren't there before.

Overall one of the stronger entries for its cute and creative graphics, and a grey in grey game world that feels like it is just holding something hidden from you until you look closer!

THANK YOUUU! Your review was pretty well done, that means you cared about my game and I’m really glad to read it. Most of the game was quick made, the week of development was just two days for me (personal stuff going on and the job eating my ass out) but I’ll keep in my heart your review and do a better game next time!

Yeah, that’s the game jam life. I hope I wasn’t too harsh, I really cared about your game indeed! Even kept the tree lens music on loop for a while, it was so soothing.

Cute little entry with a fun little mechanic! :D I like it!

Thanks! That was the first thing that fixed in my mind about the theme blocked. I’m happy you liked it!

Really cute lil experience! The way you’re filtering out elements with the colors is really impressive and unique!
