The art and general vibe are really cool. 10/10⭐

I really liked the aesthetics, the sound and the animations! Though it was really hard to understand how to play the game

I like the atmosphere of the mysterious lab, and all the workspaces have a lot of detail. Tutorialization is mentioned in a few ratings, but you could just make the first levels simpler. If you disabled the test buttons for the first level and just arrange sequences by number, people would be able to figure out how to play a lot quicker. After each level you enable one more of the tests; it would easily give a natural feeling difficulty curve since complexity is a major effect on difficulty. Good game!

Great puzzle, but damn, I spent twice as much time trying to figure it out as I did playing the whole game! It would be great to add different colors of solutions, as well as color the pipe of the used solution. Also, I think it would be much better if after choosing a solution, the empty tank was automatically filled. Despite this, I really like the art and the atmosphere of the game. Once I figured out how it works, I really enjoyed it!

Really well presented great visuals and audio to go with it. I had a lot of trouble at first trying to figure out what the game wanted from me. I might have missed it but I didn't know the garden was for entering the sequences you found, I just assumed it was a puzzle for another level.

When I eventually got it it was fun, I might try it out again when I have more time. Great work!

Very cool love the vibe and art

The art is superb. The atmosphere is just right. The hints at background lore are just the right amount of vagueness. Brilliant execution! Really polished!

My only suggestion would be to color-code the valves and solutions. First, adding some color to the valves would make it more obvious they are interact-able elements (I didn’t understand this at first). Second, there were a bunch of times I’d fill the test chambers, and then forget which valve I used for which solution! (Not sure if I’m the only one to do this)

Seriously though, great work! I love it!

Couldn't agree more on everything you said. We also got familiar feedbacks from others too. I wil keep all these in mind for my next game.
Thank you so so much for your feedback and glad that you like my art and the game!

Awesome game. I just gut stuck with the heaviest solution with only one incompat. I am so confident *reading scribbled notes* that I have the correct sequence but it didn't work.

Why can't itch comments do spoilers...?

Developer

You can also play other levels from the level selection in the main menu.
Glad to hear that you tried really hard. All levels were much much easier than the current version. It's kinda my fault to think that it might be too easy for players...sorry hehe :) ( I personally like level 5)

Thanks again for playing our game!

You guys absolutely  nailed it! the game theme pops out all over the place with ambience and the arty style. A tutorial  to explain how the tools work would be great but other than that this is awesome. Great job!

Developer

thank you for your feedback! We will definitely improve on it next time.

Awesome art and ambience, I also think this is one of this jam's top submissions. The puzzle mechanics allow you to really put out a ton of content relatively easily, which was a great choice. Also, it plays really well with the jam's theme. My only issue was tutorialization and feedback.  For feedback, it would have been cool if you added some sound or visual feedback indicating that the solution did not work, and even flash red the square representing the solutions that are out of order, so it gets progressively easier, which could increase the accessibility. For tutorialization, you explain how to play in the main menu, but it would have been better to show it in the first few levels. For example, I think the most straightforward of the tests was the acid test, so you could have used it to show people the mechanics, so level 2 would have been a better level 1, as the search space decreases by adding the condition that your solutions have to be acidic.

Wow thank you so much for this feedback! We didn't have much time left to do levels haha. I do agree with these suggestions  will definately improve on that and time management. Thanks again and glad that you like the art.

Cool puzzle game! I got to level 3 but couldn't figure out sequence 1 there.

I got this but

1: acid
2: no
3: acid
4: acid
5: no
5 > 3  > 2  > 4 > 1
So: 5 > 3 > 2 > 4 should be right but it won't work :(

Thank you for playing our game!

There is supposed to be a clue that said "this sequence must include all solutions once". I must have forgotten to add that in. Sorry about that.

Without this clue there will be the multiple valid solution such as 5 > 3 > 2 or 3 > 2 > 4

The point of this puzzle is to order all 5 solutions by prioritizing acid non-acid condition first.

If you want to skip any level, you can use our level selection from the main menu.

Sorry again for the missing clue.

Very nice thumbnail which brought me here. Very nice atmosphere, visually as well audio wise.
Product looks polished, I like the Lab grown Idea and the transition with the door. Also you itch.page looks very good.
Could listen hours to your ambience track. You did really good visualls and button effects and chemical and electrical animations.
This might be one of the top entrys of this jam.

But I am not the target audience. I am not patient enough to fiddle around with the gameplay until I understand it. For me it didn`t make sense, I had no clue what in which sequence I had to do. Even the description on the left side didn`t help me as it seemed. Too much mechanics for me I guess. But there will be players around here, which probably enjoy that game very much.

Even if it is not a game for me personally, I can clearly see the quality of your submission!!!

Great work! well done!
