Super polished and so many pieces in it. Incredibly well done. The only thing was getting a perfect was too difficult even though it felt like I should've gotten perfect. Big props overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Really nice game. Nice visuals and UI too. I got to the ending. Must've been a lot of work to sync up the the beats with the music. The difficulty curve was interesting because I found the music part super hard, rarely getting above 50% accuracy. But even then never had issues having enough money for hiring, without paying attention to their different fees. And I was able to get to the end skipping songs (that I later went back to). Maybe it's fine for that part of the game to be easy though because I wouldn't want to have to replay old songs.
Really fun game! I love rhythm games and was in the orchestra/symphony all thru school so this game is super up my alley. I liked the variety of music and I think it's fun to have to move the mouse around between different members of the symphony to play their parts. I would've liked the note highway to have been stationary, it was really hard to focus on it during fast sections cuz it was getting shaken around so aggressively. I would've also liked an option to press like Z/X or something instead of clicking, kinda like OSU does maybe, I feel like it was hard to be precise and in time with the rhythm while clicking my mouse. Overall I loved this game, one of my favs of the jam great work!
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I tested it out with Z and X and it actually felt really good! Should've definitely added that as an alternate control scheme. And sorry about the aggressive shaking, I wanted to make sure there was a lot of feedback for hitting the musicians, but I see now this wasn't the right way to go about it. Really happy you enjoyed though!
This was absolutely brilliant! What a fun, well thought out game. I'm amazed you managed to create this within the time frame of the jam! I finished it of course!
The cartoony art style is really charming!
I like your idea about the crowd reacting, though the reason I didn't include anything like that is because I wanted the game to be super casual and didn't really want to punish players for failing, but maybe I could've made the crowd cheer if you do something good to reward players for doing well, without punishing them for doing poorly
And the hiring system was initially supposed to be a lot more in depth. The musicians were gonna have different skill levels and cost more or less depending on that, but that was too complicated for what I had time for
Really helpful feedback though, thanks!
I have to say, I am in Awe of this game! As a huge Classical Music fan, this was just awesome to play. Great job! I love it. The music, the style, the art. Very fun and creative. All in a beautiful way. I like it all!
Take Care! Keep those symphonies playing!
As a musician I enjoyed this very much! Classic will never die.
And squeezing our band members was pretty funny. I liked the idea of how the titles were made.
Very nice and fun concept, and great soundtrack!
Lots of fun! :D I was happy to see that the string's section was a single unit, instead of having to manage 7 different instruments. Great job!
I enjoyed this a lot
My finger is so tired of clicking though lol
Really love the idea! Was fun to try out the different instruments. I tried to get someone who had a flute but couldn’t find it with refreshing. I did think the squash effect when clicking on the musician was too exaggerated. Especially with it effecting the note bar too. It ended up being distracting. Maybe you could lessen it and isolate it to just the musician? I also couldn’t figure out how to get to other maps. I finished the 3 levels on the main screen, but didn’t see a way to go further?
Hey, the second map should unlock once you finish one of the levels from the first map. Just click on it on the map screen.
And flutes should become available once you unlock levels that actually use flutes in them (the third map)
But thanks for the feedback about the squash effects, I wanted to exaggerate them to kinda hide the fact that I didn't actually have time to animate the musicians (lol), but I get how it could be distracting and i should've probably add an option to turn them down.
WOW this was amazing!! Super polished and well made. Felt like an actual game-game and not a jam-game. I could be wrong but sometimes it didn't feel like the notes were on-time with the actual audio? Either way was super fun to play through and hear all the different songs!
Hey thanks for your comment! If the notes felt out of time or were triggering at seemingly random times, then try restarting your browser or playing the game in a different browser. I got the issue once as well, but I don't think there's anything I can do about it. It's just the way browsers handle audio i guess
This is such a cool concept! I love how it all looks and feels, so well polished and is so cool swapping between musicians songs, I'd love to see it go further with some more concepts added on top of it!
Thanks so much!
I just LOVE your game. The concept is awesome and it's a fresh take on the classic rithm games of the early 2000's. I truggled a little bit mixing up clicks for different musicians, but with some polish you have something really interesting here.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
