Pretty straight forwardly - you are a blacksmith, and your job is to make rings to the specifications provided by your customer orders, given to you outside your forge!

Game became alot more enjoyable after reading the comments. On first boot, I had 0 clue what I was doing.
Personally, I'm not really one for all the motion blur effects or all the fancy lighting, but the core gameplay loop is pretty cool (as a chores enjoyer myself)

Stoked you enjoyed it, despite the unclear directions hah! That will be fixed in the future for sure.

We went pretty all in on the realistic graphics for the jam but we’ve actually been debating whether a more stylised approach might be the way to go for future iterations. Not cartoony, but not photorealistic either. We’ll see what happens!

I struggled a lot to figure out how to actually make a ring. Took me a while to figure out you needed to hold the hit button down to strike harder, and I'm still not quite sure how you control which ring shape gets made. I thought it was based on which ring you'd "selected" from the book but that doesn't seem to work quite right.

Cool idea though, and impressive quality for such little dev time.

Very fair, it's the conveyence issue I ran into mostly in that I didn't have time to... well, do conveyence. For instance just a simple tutorial in the main menu would've done. But my priorities were elsewhere, hehe. As for ring selection, that should be it! You flip the pages, the hit "E" on whichever shape corresponds with the order you received. Are you saying that doesn't work? Will have to investigate then.

But thanks a ton, I'm quite happy with where we got despite the flaws, and look forward to making it better in the future! Y'know, after our brains have rested a bit...

I have since been informed I somehow messed up the buttons for the pages - left page is right page, right page is left page. So, if you select a ring by clicking -inverse-, it works. Damn it, haha

Super cute and comfy game! Pretty impressed by how much bleeding edge UE5 tech this is using - Lumen is making this look SO warm and cosy.

Tried it on my Steam Deck, I'm hitting 60fps on Potato mode, which for a UE5 game is impressive!

Fun!  I did have to use low graphics, as the other ones were just too dark for me; could be my PC.  Watching the hot ingot transform was really satisfying, although I did lose the ability to use my hammer a few times, and I wasn't quite sure how to fix it other than restarting.  I could see myself playing this on a rainy night, drinking some hot tea.

Thank ya thank ya! Yeah, for future iterations there's definetely gonna be some lighting changes to make it less dark! I think I know why you lost hammer-function though! I preliminarily added the functionality for a scroll-wheel tool switcher, but didn't have time to add the other tools. I did forget to remove the binding though, and so I think you scrolled and lost control that way! Scrolling back should fix it (though I noticed this breaks the "missed swing" SFX)

Thanks though! Glad thats the vibe you got, that's what we were going for! <3 Good luck in the jam!
