While this is a nice atmospheric track, I feel it is far too repetitive. I feel like all the pieces are there, but harmonically, it is too stagnant. The"nostalgic" instrumentation works well together, but I feel like you could have done a better job introducing new instruments to the mix as the track goes on and/or subtracting them to create some more variation. Consider the overall shape you want the song to take on, because in its current form it feels a little aimless (unless, of course, that's what you were going for).
The bell "glissando" panned to the right gets old quickly. I would have used it more sparingly.
Also, spend some time reflecting on what type of video game this is supposed to be for. I am getting Final Fantasy vibes, so maybe an RPG? What is the story and what is the gameplay like?
The sound of the melody instrument is a really unique blend of a plucked guitar-like instrument mixed with the resonance of a vibraphone-like instrument. It really fits the forest vibe well. The bass with the accordion/organ-like pad sound has trance-like qualities and is very transportive to the imagery you are musically describing. The sparing use of percussion and some of the other sounds you use make me think of Pikmin music while listening to this. Great work and thank you for sharing!
