It was fun, but seemed rather slow. A lot of the time was just waiting for coins to spawn. Reminded me a lot of plague inc.

The game has an interesting concept, and I appreciate the effort put into it! There are some fun ideas here that could make for an engaging experience.

That said, a few things stood out as potential areas for improvement. First, it would be great to have an option to skip or speed up the text, as waiting through it can feel a bit slow. Another issue is that Belarus and Ukraine aren’t available as selectable options, defaulting to Russia instead - this feels like an odd design choice. The game also throws a lot of UI elements at the player right away without a basic tutorial, which can be overwhelming. Additionally, most upgrades seem to just add or subtract by one, which makes progression feel a bit flat. Since this is an idle game, it’s surprising that money has to be collected manually, whereas auto-incrementing currency is usually a standard feature in this genre.

Overall, there’s a solid foundation here, and with some adjustments to the pacing, UI onboarding, and progression mechanics, it could become a much smoother and more enjoyable experience!

i like the mysterious feel of this game :3

there are a lot of buttons to press though :o didn't know what each one do exactly.

Overall, well made !

It was a bit confusing because I couldn't much understand what is happening at all...

The lines are increasing but I didn't know what they do...

But the countries with various conspiracy stats and upgrades was really good...

Interesting idea, but there are a lot of things that are not very clear, I did not really understand how the distribution works, sometimes the improvements just did not buy, although I had coins. Sometimes coins appeared in the corner of the screen and flew off the screen.

The map and grid is very cool and I enjoyed your take on each part of the world's interaction with misinformation. With some time spent on the gameplay and interactive aspects I think it could be fun to watch the scenario unfold.

The game's concept fits the theme very well, and the music is perfectly chosen.

This game is really giving 'Plague Inc's' but 'Conspiracy Inc.' and I loved that game, the number of upgrades that you've implemented within a game jam's time frame. Bravo! I really like this conspiracy there are pieces of history which are not true & fabricated which can be even true you never know. Great jam entry!

  • At the very beginning, a "select a country to start" would be great (or just include it in the itch game page description). I wasn't sure why the date counter wasn't advancing at first haha. I found how to proceed by accidentally clicking on Greenland.
  • Maybe instead of clicking on coins, the number of followers determines how much money you get? Coins come a bit infrequently at the start.
  • Nice work giving each nation its own "special attributes" -- that must've taken  a lot of effort. Does which conspiracy theory you pick change how countries respond? It would be neat to see "stats" for each conspiracy theory (e.g., spreads easily over media but easily fact checked too)

I used to play "viral infection" games all the time, this is great!
