- The decision to have an animated outline on the player-character is very complementary to the art style. At times in tight corners, it felt a little difficult to maneuver the player-character back out with the jump (though this did mean I had a boosted feeling of accomplishment once I finally did platform over to the secrets I was trying to reach.) The jump animation is very sweet and transitions well. Lovely music, very fun to just hang out in-game with it.
- Olive’s Odd Discoveries nails the jam brief with charm, clarity, and a strong female lead who feels real and fun. With just a little more polish, it could become a solid short-form learning platformer, perfect for kids and adults alike. The nod to Annie Alexander gives it a unique historical touch, and it’s a great example of how games can inspire curiosity beyond the screen.
- Loved the concept, seeing a femme palaeontologist was a breath of fresh air. I liked that there's a "save point" (so to speak), so you don't always respawn at the beginning, which would have been frustrating. I liked that it was challenging and also complete! I think this would be super inspiring to kids and/or dino-enthusiasts if when you collect the fossils there were facts about dinosaurs etc.
- Great music, art, and animations. Great interpretation of the theme.
- Fun and cute! I had a few bugs with trying to land/jump off of certain platforms but I liked the music and art a lot!
