Really cute game, I liked the main idea and mechanics, I would love for it to expand and maybe get more locals and stuff to collect. Also loved how you have to plan and decide between eating your acorns or saving them up for storage. Id love to hear what you come up with for sounds and music. (Also yes, I won >:p)

Good work! I plan to add at least sound and music, but I would love to add more regions, locals, items, etc.

If you wanna check it out, 1.0.2 is out now!

A very interesting idea  the game is fun and has potential to become a great casual game to relax with. I'm not sure if things like thirst and hunger bars are really necessary, but they do add an extra layer to the game. I'd also love to hear some sounds and music while collecting items, but even so, it's a great project :)

Developer

Sounds and music coming in a future update! Thanks for playing!

it is a really nice game, and there is a lot of ways to play  and  challenge your self , only collecting and trading grass and collecting acorns, olny doing business with the beaver , or just trying to find 100 acorns in the world, but it is kind of hard to get 1000 grass in 10 minutes the closest i got to was 800 and something, but over all a good job, the only thin its that i missed the sound is there sound in the game or did i miss something?

Developer

Thanks for playing! No, you're not missing anything -I plan to add sound and music in a future update.

guess we had the similiar ideas love the game tho super cozy for me love it !

Developer

Haha did you also see the squirrel as one the jam sponsors? Thanks for playing!

Fun game :) Some improvement would be to have more generous collision boxes, since I got stuck on some edges.

Developer

Better collision boxes are on the list for future updates! Thanks for playing!

i like the concept, have so much potential! can't wait for its update!

Thanks for playing! There's a small patch coming after the voting period ends, and after that, I'll at the very least add sound and music.

Adorable squirrel, and relaxing color palette!

  • Haha, not-so-cozy indeed. I grabbed a ton of acorns before my squirrel passed out -- likely due to hunger, because I stored all the acorns I grabbed... nothing was left for eating >:)
  • Nice work on the tutorial too -- incrementally presenting the UI along with the associated instructions was very helpful. The extra clarity helped me enjoy the game more!

Hope that you continue to work on this, it's a cute premise.

Thanks for playing! I plan to work on it a little more, at the very least patching the visual glitching and adding sound and music.

I LOVE this, Super cute art and friendly concept. At first I was a  little confused but the introduction made it very helpfull to understand. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! Although I can't take credit for the art - it's all royalty free vector art scaled down. I'm glad the intro made it easier to understand! Thanks for playing!

This is like pokemon from the perspective of the pokemon with cut.

Developer (1 edit)

Is this referring to the visual bug mentioned in the game description?

Edit: Sorry, I'm so dense. You're 100 percent correct, this is just grass-type simulator lol.
