Very pretty art for all the characters as well as the backgrounds, pretty much every shot was very impressive to look at. Kind of got spoiled that there was a twist after seeing it also entered into a few horror jams, but I appreciate all the little hints that they give you, like some distorted sprites in the overworld or elements in the backgrounds sort of disintegrating in the distance. From a gameplay perspective it made it really easy, but I like how most of the monsters don't actually attack you (or at least, keep missing their attacks. I tried it out for a bit and I think only one regular enemy ever hit me.), since they are presumably just terrified rather than posing a legitimate threat. The engagement of the battles could use some work though, since the same strategy basically gets you through all the actual fights.

The artstyle is beautiful, especially love how well done the environments are.

The rest is passable for a game jam; tho I assume this game is unfinished because I noticed that my characters never take any damage XD (Or does it later? Sorry but I had to end my session early)

Anyway, good work and thanks for participating!

Thank you!

It's a spoiler:

They weren’t trying to fight you, as everything is in your hallucinations. It will be revealed at the end :)

This is a very well-made game! There’re so many things that I enjoyed about the game.

Spoilers I've just finished it and it has left me feeling sober, especially with how the message of the game subverts the classic magical girl/superhero genre (at least if what I got was the true ending >> managed to defeat all the monsters but ended up destroying the world). I knew something was up with Teddy with those little devil horns poking out from the back of his head and the sad-looking cactus!! But I thought at first that those monsters are embodiments of nature and Teddy was prompting the character to destroy the environment. Didn't think it was another kind of sinister!
The colour palette, the art, and the overall vibe of the game is superb, and the dreaminess of the entire experience do a good job at hinting at what is really beneath the surface in this world that is being depicted. I love the art and the music, and the voice-acting is perfect as well -- reminding me of classic video games! Amazing job everyone!! 😊

The magical atmosphere built by the art and music is impressive. (The music in particular hits the spot for me.) I kept playing just to hear and see what other beautiful things were in store. Everything feels smooth and the classic turn-based combat is well-executed. The difficulty needs a little tweaking as I spent most encounters spamming the enter button for the default attack as nothing warranted additional options until bosses emerged, but I think that will greatly improve the experience. Other than that, wonderful work.

That's a beautiful game with cute art designs. the game is quite straightforward but the plottwist is quite a surprise.

The pixel art work is phenomenal, from the character designs to all the backgrounds. If your team decides to expand on it, it'd be nice if it was possible to interact more with the environment as well as speed up the battle gameplay a little- misses and zero damage attacks dragged some of the battles out more than I personally enjoyed, but overall, it's a really impressive game.

First of all, it’s a really beautiful game. Very, very beautiful. I don’t often see a sidescroller RPGMaker game in this art style, and the color scheme is breathtaking.

The sound is nicely done too.

In fact, this looks extremely polished for something worked on for just 2.5 weeks. Totally not expecting this to be submitted so early and so good.

The story is as expected and the dialogue writing is a bit rushed, but the cutscenes themselves are nicely executed. I wonder if there’s another ending (I beat the final boss with four characters).

Overall, wonderful!

The surprise is perceived in the first minute and cliché.

The combat is interesting, with each character linked to a status change that make more useful attack magic.

And unlock the secret character have his trick.

This game can have his potential if were longer.

I love the game. I hope there will be some kind of sequel.
