Description
midly electronic piano acoustic-y music. heavily inspired from vibes of deltarune, doctor who. made in ableton and stock plugins along with software reverb were used for audio effects. the tracks feature a sgm grand piano.
chosen obvious theme is freedom, and i was inspired by the idea of being stranded so far from home and the want to re experience childhood

I really liked this submission! The first track gives me a sort of lost feeling, i like it a lot with the delayed piano and ambient sounds and such. "fleeing from a cloaked spectre" especially stood out to me, i loved the piano melody so muchhh. I also really liked the guitar at the end, i just found the transition happened a bit fast haha, but overall fantastic job!
the change in the fidelity in "fleeing from a cloaked spectre" at 1:20 was a pleasant surprise! i do wish it could've lasted longer though. overall, these two tracks really evoke that sense of hazy nostalgia... it's quite adjacent to weirdcore and liminal space aesthetics which i ABSOLUTELY love! :3c
the names for your tracks are fascinating; i'd love to know what you were visualizing for each track as you were composing! "the inception of wonderkind" to me feels unsettling, the history of something ancient and forgotten being read through. meanwhile, "fleeing from a cloaked spectre" feels ironically calm and comforting.
Very interesting. These minimalistic tracks really sell the idea of being stranded, and they're a little erratic, which to me feels like a deliberate choice to really set up the atmosphere.
They also both kind of remind me of Minecraft's legendary piano pieces haha.
Well done!
The delay + reverb (+ slight chorus I think?) work really well on that first track's piano, and the wistful/minor chord choices fit perfectly for the "stranded far from home" vibe you were going for. "fleeing from a cloaked spectre" gives me massive OMORI vibes in it's melody and waltzy feel. The guitar was an amazing way to continue it, but it felt like it got cut short! Gonna assume it's the time limit which is unfortunate because I was really getting into the vibe. Great work! :)
This OST really relaxed me actually. felt like freedom- of responsibilities to me. like these tracks could take away some stress and you could chill to them
I liked when the second track went from sounding like a recording to realistic.
I think if you had extended that song a little further it would have for an even better track with a big shift in the middle.
Well done! Really dig the piano work in the second track. Minimalistic at points, but not at the cost of expression or conveyance. Executes well on the theme as a whole, and the chosen progression is memorable. I found myself humming along the ascending line after the track had finished. My only nitpick would be to boost the volume of the track a little as it is fairly quiet. (Admittedly the guitar section at the end is fine - just the piano is on the quieter side)
Feels like it creates a lot of feeling very naturally with the light accoustic texture. The feeling of wanting to be back somewhere familiar comes througs, reminds me a lot of liminal spaces actually :)
Second track has major Bicycle Waltz (by Kumiko) vibes haha
nicely done!! :)
