Description
We imagined a punk action game where the world is trapped in a timeloop by a big evil supercomputer (and the governmen ofc). So the tracks are punk inspired with heavy experimental and glitchy effects.

Me (NoizySpace) and Kattpucckino15 collaborated on the tracks by using a combination of live recorded guitar and bass and Ableton Live

Protonpunk is the main theme
State machine is is a gameplay music loop

Theme

Freedom

How does it fit the theme?
The game is about breaking free from a timeloop, with punk rock inspiration

WOW!

First of all - AWESOME sound design of random (and not so random) sounds, effects... wow!

State machine - It really sounds like an old machine was given the opportunity to compose music... All this interference, groove rhythm... wow! And the fact that the song loops is even cooler!

Protonpunk - THE EFFECTS ARE FIRE!!!! I really like this dirty combination of muffled, slightly bitcrushed drums, guitars and crazy synths... The voices in the background add some heat to it!

Great Job!

P.S. Rawr!

the punk vibes of these two tracks really shine through!! i really like how "Protonpunk" right at the start seems to elaborate further on "State machine" while carrying its own weight with how it develops. :~)

i wish i could've heard a bit more of "Protonpunk" as i felt it ended too soon. i would've love to hear more glitching used on the distorted guitar as well, which is definitely more of a personal preference depending on how chaotic you'd want the piece to be!

oh mai gaah its sex incarnate

Love how hard-hitting that breakbeat is with all those bass patches and computer textures. The buckets of variation in State Machine made it constantly engaging and sold me hard on that cyber-and-also-punk vibe. Protonpunk had a great vibe switchup, though personally I think the spaciousness and progression through State Machine hooked me just a bit more. Amazing work overall!

The downsampled? guitar in PROTONPUNK was great!

Good work!

State Machine has some dope sound-design elements going on; the track took its time to build into the main section but it was thoroughly enjoyable to experience. The lead guitar work in this is pretty good but fairly heavily filtered - I think I would eased back just a tad on how much is being cut frequency-wise, but it is still enjoyable to listen to and does a good job of keeping the listener engaged. That being said, I do love all the motion behind the guitar and how the bass and drums are trading off while a myriad of electronic and crushed textures fill out the mix.

Protonpunk has me feeling similar to what I said above about the guitar, except perhaps it is even more filtered here. I think the track is interesting and I love the glitching and stuttering occurring  throughout. The vocal/intercom sample playing throughout was a cool textural element, too.

I enjoyed both but State Machine is my definitive favorite of the two; a lot going on, some really nice post-production and just a rather moody and unique vibe as a whole. Good work.

Having a live guitar especially in State Machine really elevated the whole feel, great job!

Really enjoyed this! Great work, great vibes!

Great work! I wasn't expecting such emotion and beauty from something that claims itself "punky and glitchy"! In my head the term punk never left the raw Sex Pistols style hahah 😅

Very nice athmosphere, very cool drum effects on the second track. The guitar tone is insanely delicate!

This is not really my type of music, but the layering is really good and the tracks faithfully represent your take on the team so that's awesome. It sounds like there's a disparity in mix quality as State Machine sounds "cleaner" with all the frequencies, but it might just be the style of Protonpunk is just different.

Anyways great job!

Super nice visceral/industrial sound!  I love how there's little pockets of different elements, like 0:55 glitch and 2:00 breakbeat drums in "state machine." The gritty guitar or synth? works really nice over the drum kit. Great variety of sounds throughout and feel this could go well in many horror or FPS games (Doom comes to mind).
