A simulated experience is available to the public. To forget your fears you choose to enter a haven experience where all worries are forgotten & time dilation allows you to live in peace for a while without worrying about your old world.
but something is amiss, wrong, defiled...

1: Simulated Haven: Orchestral Piece, your title screen & main theme to introduce the world that you will inhabit

2: Resonating In Harmony Fields: The song that will play during your journey in Haven, as the bedazzling horrors begin to spawn upon the world.

3: Eluding The Shackles: What was once your haven has now become your prison, you must fight for your freedom and escape at any cost.

simluated haven really clicks with me. musically it's a very nice piece, and i can imagine how the song's serene vibe would come to sound dark and ironic in retrospect once this haven starts to unravel. really nice!

Simulated Haven - WAH! I love it when a theme has a soft-cute synthesizer..... And the continuation with the escalating orchestra is a wonder! Everything is so soft and uplifting.

Resonating In Harmony Fields - SLIME RANCHER VIBES!!!!11!!! The most beautiful, both sweet and dynamic theme. MAGICAL VOCALS... wah!

Eluding The Shackles - First came the drums.... then a piece of string and... YOOHOO! DYNAMICS! SINGING VIOLINS! STRUNS! DRUM! WAH! AAAH!

...I loved it :>

i really like the idea of entering a simulation for happiness that begins to falter and fracture, a trope that i enjoy a lot!! overall, the tracks you've presented are very fantastical and well-composed, they really set the stage for a videogame matching your concept. awesome-possum work!

particular highlights for me were the harp in "Simulated Haven", and the guitar that really changes the atmosphere of "Eluding The Shackles"! :D

Thanks so much for listening! Glad you enjoyed it a lot <3

So wistful... So majestic... Uwaaaaaaa...

I was locked into the heaven theme the instant I pressed play. The instrumentation is spot on for an angelic setting and those flourishes on the harp in the title theme were delicious. The use of the vocal ambience and drums in "Resonating In Harmony Fields" felt like a perfect way to build the intensity. Love the energy and guitars in "Eluding the Shackles," the chiptune bass felt a little out of place but I think that's mostly because it's the first time any chiptune elements are explicitly heard. Can definitely see it fitting right in over a larger soundtrack though. Really great work!

Developer

Thanks for listening and your very detailed insight into the soundtrack <3
Honestly the chiptune in the 3rd track I kind of forgot as it was orginally just used as a building compound for the song & my ears just adjusted to listening to it haha, I can see how it's out of place when I focus on it though.

wooah this is sick!!! i like the inclusion of a main menu track and an area track, really feels like a game!

Thanks heaps for listening!

This is FANTASTIC work. I particularly like Harmony fields, when that vocal track kicked in I was immediately transported to Nier! BRAVO!

Developer

Thanks for listening! Funny how many people experience a similar feeling to Nier with the second track, I'm a sucker for those soundtracks but maybe they've influenced me more than I realize.

The arrangement in Simulated Haven blew my mind—fantastic job on that introduction. The three pieces convey a well-structured story, keeping me intrigued throughout. Great work!

Thanks heaps for listening <3

I really like the overall vibe and orchestration, specially the first track (the best one imo). The second one is really nice but I struggle to imagine it as an exploration music/journey music. The third one is giving me the feeling of a sad boss battle where you have to fight and you don't really want to, more than a fight for freedom. Quite unique vibe though, it made me thought about "Paradise Killer" to me.

Thanks heaps for listening & the added experience with each track!
Generally I make very upbeat overworld themes, more intentionally like the Xenoblade franchise or high speed metroidvanias, that's kind of the vibe I was going for there.

Wow, really great and cohesive tracks ! I particularly like the vocal percussive elements in the second one.

And “Eluding the Shackles” is so good ! A lot of images and emotions are brought within it.

Like many others, I really enjoyed the mix between instruments and genres. Great work !

Developer

Thanks tons for listening! Glad you enjoyed.

Great composition, overall! All of the tracks were very beautiful and fun to listen to!

Torn between two for my favorite: 'Simulated Haven', for just how beautiful and serene it is, and 'Resonating In Harmony Fields', for also being very beautiful but also having a super fun voice melody that kinda reminded me of Isabella's Lullaby from Promised Neverland's OST (the humming part)!

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks tons for listening!
Funny you mention Isabella's lullaby, personally one of my favorite melodies I've ever heard, incredible piece. Maybe I take inspiration from it without realising.

All of these tracks are really beautiful, you use rythm and melodies in such an interesting and fun way, it's a treat to listen to.

I really like the beat and percussion you put on them, it takes it all to the next level.

I can truly imagine the gane you describe next to these songs, but I could maybe imagine these in a rythm game even more, a beat saber level with these would knock peoples socks off.

Great work!

:]

Developer

Thanks for listening! A dream of mine would be to compose a song for a rhythm game haha.. maybe someday xD

Beautiful

Short and sweet, thanks for listening :D

Xurai this is luscious - Simulated Haven is one of the best tracks I've heard so far in the jam. It's the hybrid instrumentation (something I try to often go for in my pieces) which gets me, the emotions it creates, and the composition and mix balancing are also all sublime. Both Resonating with its intriguing vocals and Eluding with its upbeat rhythms are great too in their own right, and all serve the experience world you're trying to create. Awesome!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for listening and the in-depth analysis of what it made you feel <3

The key change in the first song was really great and re-hooked my attention!

The same can be said about the drums in the second track. keeping my focus on the music and preventing anything from getting stale.

Developer(+1)

Thanks tons for listening <3

This is beautiful, all of these were great.

Enjoyed the second track the most, it reminded me of some Nier OSTs. "Eluding The Shackles" had some very cool elements and genre mix, and thematically I think you've nailed it too, great stuff!

Developer

Thank you <3
Tried something different each track and glad it hit the nail for it

I feel Touhou vibes in Resonating In Harmony Fields
One of my favs so far, and one the few submissions I HIGHLY rated

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for listening & high praise :D

Submitted(+1)

I think all three songs are beautiful but Eluding The Shackles is a BANGER. Also I really love that melody and chords in the second track! The story you thought about sounds very interesting too, people first wanting to be free from the real world, and then regretting their decision and wanting to be free from Haven. Thinking they would be free but instead ending up in a new cell.

Great work once again! I can still hear the Xenoblade influence :)

Developer

Thanks so much for listening!
Xenoblade forever xD

Super solid work here. As Kev mentioned, I remember your Lucid entry from OST Comp Jam #7. This submission, unsurprisingly, delivers in much of the same way.

Simulated Haven has some gorgeous orchestration and just the right of supporting instrumentation to keep the strings soaring and keys driving along. Evokes a kind of ethereal feel as it goes on, from the simple beginning with some accompanying synths to the gargantuan swelling of the full orchestra by the end.

Meanwhile, Resonating in Harmony Fields latches onto a more pensive and even tense vibe at times. The vocals here are wonderfully implemented; weaving around not only the piano line but the supporting strings as well. The percussion does a great job of providing a pulse. Also taking this opportunity to say I love how you title your pieces; the imagery feels so vivid.

Ending with Eluding the Shackles - the vibe is distinctly different here at the beginning, however as other instruments are introduced it all begins to feel more at home with the other tracks. The use of guitar here is not something I expected, but it sits in the mix rather well and complements the lead string line. The crescendo in the middle section is great for really giving this a higher pulse than the previous track and driving it toward the (once again) ethereal vibes that come with the ending. Spacing out the elements here and allowing the melodies to breathe really sells the scene here.

Once again, great work. One of the best submissions I've heard thus far.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for listening and the unbelievable detailed insight into each track. You done a better job explaining them than I could haha

Submitted(+1)

this is one of my favorite submissions so far, my only comment would be that each track kinda feels like they would belong to a different game maybe if I listened a few more times I could hear how they connect better.  For the most part this is awesome  :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for listening :D
I tried to broaden the genre by making each track different but yeah I can understand what you mean about them not connecting. That's a part I can work on improving :)

I remember following you on soundcloud from OST Jam 07,  and that was the right decision.

Flawless work, I have nothing to contribute here other than saying it's amazing!

Thanks so much for listening! Glad to see you back :D
