Description
This track represents the main character of a fictional visual novel, Poppy, falling slowly down to Earth after fighting for her soul up above.
I composed the track by conceiving of a melody I found moving, working out from there to develop the chords, instrumentation and mixing. Video game music with indie and classical elements.

The synth backdrop works really well with the piano lead. Very pretty story concept and accompanying music, nice job!
Thanks a ton! :)
The quiet opening works perfectly for the space setting, and the way it progresses and builds on itself got me a little emotional I cannot lie. The transition from more cold and spacious elements like the sine pluck and reverbed guitar to bright, warm pianos/strings/birds chirping was incredibly cool for the narrative aspect of the song/setting. Really great work!
so glad to hear it made u feel :'-) thanks so much!
Your melodies are so sweet, each section was distinct but still fit the track as a whole. The overlapping piano trills were really lovely, great work!
Compliments to my melody writing are my favorite 😭 Thanks so much!
oh, i really enjoy the distinct sections written in this track — there's something melancholy yet freeing about the context of this track being the descent back to planet Earth. the change in instrumentation helps with that also! ^^
the middle section that brings in the piano is when i really start to feel drawn to the track... well done and well produced!!
omg thank you so much :)
sometimes we need to take a leap of faith to finally feel like we're on earth. this track made me go "wowie". thanks for another banger KR
LOL glad to deliver, thank you!
Really gives the feeling of floating down back to earth (like you intended), good job :)
Thanks so much!
This is gorgeously ambient. Loving the hints of vibrato and wavering pitch of those lead triangle/square leads - really sells the listener on the space setting. Contrasting those patches with some strumming is a great way of mixing organic and electronic elements together, symbolizing the falling from space back to Earth in a way. Nice use of a reverb blow-out here as well at the half-way point to signal the return to Earth.
Bird samples do a great job of keeping the listener clued in to what is happening, but I have to give props to the piano playing here; gorgeous melodies on top weaving around one another, subtle chords down below making excellent use of dynamics and articulation to provide a gentle pulse to the piece. Having the orchestration come in to support the piece felt like an enormous relief of the tension accumulated while coming back home. Some really nice motion on the strings, and the mixing does a solid job of really using up the stereo-field.
This is some great work. You've really captured the feeling of floating-turned-falling with this. I can envision a character drifting down, twirling in the air and happy to be headed home. The accompaniment does a fantastic job of bolstering this image and fits it to perfection.
Appreciate the acknowledgement of all the specific techniques, really makes my work feel seen :) Thank you!
This track tells a lot of things, that's great ! I love all the progression it has, impossible to get bored. Good job !
Such kind words, I really appreciate it :))
This is pretty cool, really nice vibes. I think all it needs is time for mixing and its a finished piece. Good work :)
Thanks so much! Would def refine the EQ on that first synth with more time lol
Very nice work! Enjoyed the light melancholy, yet hopeful vibe!
Appreciate it :))
This is really awesome! really fits that theme perfectly. good job!
Thank you so much!
very pretty composition, feels like the ending to a great story. the instrumentation is moving and powerful and tinged ever so slightly with sadness, which is just scrumptious. lovely work on this!
YOOO much appreciated :D
I really enjoy how the opening notes have pitch shifts in them, and that rhythm guitar omg. The chords are really nice. The piano section was really nice, and the melody was really well written! The way it crescendos into a thick string section was really really pleasing to the ears! This was a really nice soundtrack. Great work!
omg thanks so much for the kind words! it's much appreciated :D
I liked that when I listened to it, it never felt like I was being given the same thing at any given time. Felt like it was moving forwards with its composition despite keeping most of the same instruments and vibe.
Thanks so much for the kind words :)
As usual, amazing submission, you hit the mark on the leap of faith beautifully! It's like Poppy is floating over the earth. Nice job with the sound design too. It's almost ethereal how good everything sounds, amazing job!
Thanks a ton! :D
..And then I imagined myself standing in the middle of a submarine. There are sperm whales swimming around me...
A heartfelt publication! Love this!
P.S. Rawr
