[LFS] Looking for Artists and Programmers for a Game Project. (Voluntary Collaboration)

Hey there!

I have a small 2D platformer game idea in mind. It's not my first project, but tackling it completely solo would be a lot of work — and unfortunately, I don’t have much time to spare.

I’m looking to collaborate with a small team—whether it's just for this project or potentially something more long-term. I should mention that this is a voluntary effort. There’s no budget involved and I’m not expecting any financial return from this game. I know that might sound a bit selfish, but I just want to be upfront about the situation.

And, I deeply and sincerely  value the ideas yours. I’ve led small teams before, and my goal isn’t to just make my game — I want to make our game. If you’re a programmer, artist, and want to be part of a chill, idea-driven project, Feel Free To Contact with me!

Let’s build something great!

Hey I'm interested in collaborating on a project for fun. I'm a programmer who mainly prefers to write games from scratch but I don't mind using a game engine. Which game engine are you using, and how can I help?

I usually use godot for projects, can you keep up with it?

Sure, I've used Godot before numerous times. Are you using GDScript, C#, or some other language binding? It doesn't matter too much, I can familiarize myself pretty quickly.

ok then! I'm using GDscript, Could you give me your discord tag? It's easier to be a team there you know!

Hello, hello! I'm interested in the project - as an artist -, but first, I need to know if you want to work with pixel art or a different type.

SURE! IT WOULD BE A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH YOU! Eh,  Pixel art definitely!

Omg, wait wait kkkkkkkkk

You're happy and excited, I understand, but  I'm sorry. I was asking because I don't work with pixel art yet. I asked to know if it would be classic pixel art or if it would follow the idea of something like Hollow Knight, etc.

I still have a lot to improve with pixel art before I do anything resembling a game project. The most concrete thing I've ever done is a ball. Literally.

If I had to work with anything right now, it would be digital illustrations.

I'm sorry to ruin the feeling and expectation that my question created. As a small act of redemption that I can do, here is one tip: in the 2D Art discussion on Creativity & Art, sometimes artists come up looking for projects, so it would be good to check them out. I hope you can find the people that you need, good luck and again, I'm sorry.

oh... ok then! thx anyway!
