Description
This is an Ambient Track inspired by Minimalist music from Masters like Philip Glass and Steve Reich.
I imagined it for a Storytelling- heavy experience, where one would take on the role of a flying bird, experiencing ultimate freedom.
It tells the story of someone dreaming about the unattainable freedom of flying, then floating through the air with the power of imagination, only to fall back into reality, leaving us with the bittersweetness of half-forgotten dreams.
The first track is the beginning of the experience, with the character dreaming about escaping its tethers and flying like a bird (heavily inspired by the provided image).
The second track would be the bulk of the experience, where the player would fly around and take their bird form to the limit.
The third track would be the end, where the player would be snapped back to reality, the feed to its imagination cut by some real life problem, left looking at the bird, so impossibly free.

Theme

How does it fit the theme?
The soundtrack captures the longing someone feels for being free, and the way they imagined flying must feel like. The sighs of wishes, the momentum of floating through the air, the sudden crash into reality, all through sound alone.

Beautifully assembled, brought together, and turned into one single rush of breath! I confess I'm not a strong ambient fan, but I liked your track:>
Rawr!
Really nice ethereal vibes to this, very floaty, perfect for the game you were writing for. The textures are super interesting too, so much to listen to but it's mixed really really well
there is something so ethereally unusual and enthralling about the choice of instrumentation and sound effects that you employed for your soundtrack... the heavy electronic sounds add such a fascinating texture partway through, i really enjoyed listening to this! :~)
i enjoyed the recapitulation of some familiar elements from "Dreaming" in "Falling" — very cohesive and well-connected!
Really like how well the space is filled out here. Those textural elements give the track an insane amount of life, and the way the instruments slowly build up is great. Gonna have to check out the artists you mentioned because this is solid work!
This track really does capture the longing of being free as you said, nice job!
This made me sleepy, in a good way.
Nice ambient stuff!
I really love the whole vibe and the choice of instruments, really immersive. I'm not sure I feel the separation between the tracks, that could be one track of its own I think. I feel the freedom and this bird flying feeling, but there is also kind of a nightmarish vibe all along, that I like too by the way, but I don't know if it was intended. Maybe it's just me ahah. Interesting and good job !
Hypnotizing and beatiful works, greetings from Portugal!
Nice work!! Love the textures and sound choices!
I really enjoy the sounds of, the glass? Ceramic? Not sure but that is such a pleasing sound throughout. It gives that feeling of flying and peace you'd expect. It even works in the final track, despite the sombre tone. The piano in the final track is setup really well to setup the tone of the piece. I also really like how you can hear the bird sounds in the background. It was short but sweet, and absolutely wonderful. Good job!!
Great use of textures throughout! Orchestration is well done and layered really nicely, feeling like some sort of infinite crescendo at points which plays into the theme really well. The change of tone and sheer amount of tension that builds before the piano comes in is incredible - I love the use of radio chatter to really sell the flying aspect. As others have noted, fantastic soundscape and some really clever use of the stereo field. Good work!
really gorgeous soundscape, the simplicity of the composition is really compensated for by the instrumentation, love the chimes and strings.
The voices and kind of glass noises that came in at the end were my favorite part. They added a lot more texture that I think the piece needed.
I do think the track as a whole felt a little generic with simple chord progressions I felt like.
