I like the tone a lot. This is grim and dark and very useable and flexible. Nice work!

The writing here is awesome. I know you've said that TBSBMD is inspired by castlevania, but I can't help but feel Bloodborne was in the back of your head, which is a good thing because Gothic horror and lovecraftian abominations go together really, really well. That is where the writing shines; the castle isn't just a building, its an alien nightmare that has been dragged kicking and screaming into this wretched world and it is not happy about it. I do like the image here are well, feels like the cherry on the top.

My main criticism pretty much echos JimJamJoshie's; reaching the top of the tower could happen in one room, or eight. Another thing I'm not sure about are the first three rooms on the table. From how I've read it, all of these force a save just through walking through the door, though they do hide some bonuses. Personally, I would have the player make a roll if they performed a certain action, on a fail the bad thing happens, on a success they get the bonus.

Of course, that just some nitpicking. TBSBMD is one of my favourite entries from this jam. Its a blood stained, nightmare crawl through a castle that is an eldritch horror tearing its way into reality. That is to say it is excellent adventure that fits Mork Borg perfectly.

Thank you! I'm going to address those critiques very soon (tomorrow or next week), I've been busy with some other projects (just launched a 46 page adventure for MÖRK BORG today), so haven't had the time...yet. :)

This is such an amazing entry for the jam.  I love  how evocative and epic the writing is.  The tower itself is also great, just enough vagueness for GM input, while still offering plenty of structure and guidance when needed.

My only criticism is that I wish there was a little more complexity with when the final encounter can happen, since as it stands there's a 1/8 chance that the first room you walk into is the final boss.  But it wouldn't be too hard to fix/homebrew on my own.  Maybe something like the roll getting an extra +1 per floor (so d8 the first floor, then d8+1 the second, d8+2 on the third, etc), that way you could make the final boss be on rolling a10 or higher, so its possible to encounter him early, but there's still a baseline  of a few floors of warm up before the end game.

Don't take the length of my criticism as any indication of how I feel about the submission.  Like I said, it is incredibly well made and looks like a hell of a lot of fun.  I definitely plan on running it for my group once we finish up our current Cyberpunk campaign.

Thank you!Your criticism is spot on and I'm going to revisit it and re-upload. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your run when you play!

It’s a nice take of mixing dark fort with castlevania flavor in this one. Very fitting for the theme in MÖRK borg heck this would be a perfect idea for a castlevania or bloodstained campaign.  5 dusty chicken out of 5 on my end.
