  • Lovely little gameplay loop, and the music fits wonderfully! I will say, the sword controls don't feel very satisfying. Sometimes hard to tell if I'm getting a good hit on those slimes.

I hold the most valuable sword in the universe in my hand. I stare my customer down... then wordlessly turn around and sell them the garbage I've been cleaning the bathrooms with for the past three days. I scoff at the chump as they leave with their """product""", and I once again wield my $infinity slime slicer 3000 with a gleam in my eye as I wait for the green blocks to waltz into their unexpected doom.

Death to the slimes! Every honest working hat, come join me! Bring all your swords and money to the fight.

Developer

I will join the anti slime militia.

Loved the gameplay, i must be a gambler cause i lost most of my swords to thinking "just one more swing". Had a blast playing, id maybe recommend making the hammer be something that you can swap to instead of picked up, it was a little frustrating swapping between it and a sword for the slimes at night. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks! I 100% agree. The most frustrating part of the game is trying to pickup the right thing from the ground. There also seems to be a bug where it's not guaranteed to pick up the closest item which makes it even more frustrating. Glad you still had fun!

Good game ! Well done

I like how absurdly large swords you can make, character hat designs were pretty sweet as well. My only wish would be an option to discard unwanted items

Developer(+1)

Swords will eventually break with use, but if that's your only wish I'm pretty happy!! Thanks for playing!

I definitely think the most annoying part of the game is picking up the right thing from the floor. The original idea had racks for swords but alas that's just how the game jams!

Well done! A tutorial in the future would be nice tho (I still rated it 5⭐️

Developer

Thanks!! Yeah a tutorial is a luxury in a game jam especially one this short! Glad you enjoyed and thanks so much for the rating!!

Also will you update the game in the future because I think you could expand on this concept a lot

Developer

I always say that the nicest thing you can say to someone about their game jam game is "you should keep working on it" so thank you so so much for saying that!

I will say this game was originally an idea I wanted to make into a full game and I have a lot of ideas on how to expand it so I may very well keep working on it!

Great!

Fun game! Took me a while to understand the controls and interactions but after that I played it a lot!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you so much! I totally get that, it's a tough concept to explain fully and we obviously didn't add a tutorial lol. Comforting that you could eventually figure it out and have fun!!!
