I loved this game! Having to manage an underground cell that was growing and at the same time, not being caught was the most thrilling part. The details such as members taking their own initiative, added to the life of the game. It's really great that it was made in just 3 hours.
Really impressed with what you managed to come up with in the time limit! Some impressively deep systems seem to be in place and I really liked the presentation of it being a country map!
To be honest, my favourite mechanic was the fact that the player can choose when they want to trigger their revolution (attempt) - as early or as late as possible! After finishing it 'normally' I tried playing a few games triggering it between 10% - 25%, but didn't get lucky!
Thanks for playing and the feedback! When I set out to make the game I actually thought of conditions you had to fulfill before starting the revolution (like having some presence in every district or having at least a certain percentage threshhold or x turns etc.). I simply didnt have time to implement anything like that, but maybe it was for the best then that it is more simple.
Interestingly for me the fact that the game "plays itself" and everything was really predictable to program was a major time saving mechanic for me, as 1 simple script with just a couple of lines of code is run at the end of each turn for each area to determine how the stats change (they always lose happiness according to the conversion and then the conversion rate 1:1 determines the likelihood of this area too performing its own action) So once I made the UI making the game logic work was very quick. But I agree, once you get past a kind of slow start, the world starts to feel rather alive.
I'm glad you liked what I made :)
Great work in the short time frame. I struggled a bit to understand what was going on but still managed to win ha.
I loved this game. Such a brilliant take on the theme and great gameplay. I lost 3 50% revolution before i succeeded in my fourth attempt lol
This game actually make me forget time hehe. Played for 30 minutes and didn't even realize it.
Great job!
Wow, thanks for playing! Im so glad you enjoyed it :D
A great take on the theme. I got confused by what was going on though. Having the statistics only appear after each round and only briefly makes it difficult to see what change you're making.
Thanks for playing, I appreciate the comment :) and I 100% agree. I really tried to make a unique gameplay experience and I do realize my game is quite confusing at first, especially to realize the difference of each action. My vision was to have the area info always displayed on each area and the after each turn to have the changes pop up to have better visual aid. I didn't have enough time to do this and ended up having to do this much simpler and more confusing approach. I'm looking forward to playing and rating your and all other games later tonight. <3
