I actually didn't pick up the sound cues as a hint until i see the credit scene- where you credited sound effects for the hiding places lol

After that, the game became really fun fast! It is a great gameplay loop. In addition, the visuals are subtle but effective addition-the visual change when you put your phone somewhere, and the animations are great.

Nothing to complain about in audio-after all, it is the core mechanic of the game and you did it quite well.

Nice job!

Fun idea, I did try to beat this game, but after he checks too many hiding places it becomes very hard. still quite fun little game, the gambling aspect of it keeps you trying again. the fact, that you can't really control the outcome makes this game a little frustrating. This game is kind of like a slot machine, but is therefore quite fun to revisit.

It is subtle, but the sound cues after the start of each day tells you where the guards are going to search. Hopefully that helps:)

An interesting entry, but i'm afraid I didn't understand how the "inverse sound memory" was meant to work. I ended up randomly hiding my phone in different places, but wasn't sure of how to develop an actual strategy to avoid the guard.

That said, I really liked the idea in relation to the jam's theme, good job on the game!

Nice take on the theme, that whistle gets your attention. Good work on short time span.
