im obsessed with this. i always love a good word game, and this one was so fun! i like that because there were rarely restrictions on word length, you could get really creative (i myself had some 10+ letter words trying to fit everything in HAHA). i also liked that sometimes you had to choose between different clues and maximize points. even though there was no timer, the music was so epic and dramatic that i felt a sense of pressure, it really played well into the feeling of climbing the tower! i only wish that the words could have tied into the story points a bit more, i think that would've made it feel even more dramatic :D
The most unique entry I've seen about this jam. Well done
Amazing game! At first i thought you had to find a word related to the story to progress so i really didn't make things easy for me at the start, but its a super fun concept! well done!
Common Agent Jo W, this is incredible! As per usual how much you have achieved as a solo dev is something to admire and behold. Well done Jo!
I really loved your poem at the start - you're right, it did lure me in! The game was fun to play and really did get me thinking to try not only to do it fast but also use some bigger or more unique words.
One thing I would love is if there was the option to see the story so far on a scroller or something to the side - sometimes I found myself forgetting what the previous sentence had said or hadn't read it properly before I had moved on. (too eager to play the game!!) so I'd love the option to give the story some more of the attention it deserved.
Absolutely great work, and I'll play again to try beat my score after rating some others!
Well done Jo!! :)
This is great! Engaging, fun, totally unique and really well-made. And of course the music is a bop!
Thanks for jamming with us again, Jo :D
This was great fun! Nice job. Insane that you made everything yourself within the 48 hours, I think I'd lose my mind.
Clever and verry well maide. One of the better polished game of the jam too. Really nice game!
This is epic. The music was so good that I thought it was pre-made.
im obsessed with this now
Seriously amazing game, I can't believe how underrated it is!!! Visuals are buttery smooth and really engaging and polished, esp. for a jam. I love word games so the core gameplay def appealed to me and you do some really cool twists on it. So so glad that all the rules are optional, makes the game wayy less stressful. Sound design is great and especially the MUSIC is so hype and genuinely makes it feel like an epic journey. The unfolding story in the background is rlly cool too and I love how it's foreshadowed. I would genuinely love to see a longer, more in-depth version of this! Amazing work!!
Thanks for the detailed breakdown. I'm glad you enjoyed it :3
I love word games, this was fun.
The music is good but I don't think it suits the game, I think something calmer would make more sense.
Thanks for playing!
Not sure if I agree with the music. As someone else said, I was going for more of an "epic journey" kinda feel, but I can still see where you're coming from.
Amazing! Really great work, I liked it a lot! :D
i really love those typing game, yours is very cool and well made for a solo submission !!
(love the music as always)
