While the art and layout is great, my favorite thing here is how open-ended and playable it is. I like that it’s a decision point for the players, and that The Shrouded Sovereign is deadly without necessarily being a party wipe, and not fighting them is just as (perhaps more) rewarding. Excellent design!

A perfect continuation of the first great adventure of the dying world.

The tone and ideas play very well and the art was necessarily grotesque and fitting. 5/5

It makes me anxious to know what the PCs might choose to do with Aldon's life and the dark rewards of this creature.

(You know what? f you Aldon)

Thank you so much!! And truuuuuu, all my homies hate Aldon, lol.

The written tonality is on point, and the illustration as well as the overall art direction is really nice.

It's messy in a MÖRK BORG-way, yet succeeding with not overdoing it. A little more white space could probably be given to the right hand side, but it's a nit-pick.

If there had been more space I would've loved a table or input on what "forbidden knowledge" the Shrouded Sovereign could've given me.

Overall a really good piece. Well put together and a great visual execution!

Thanks!! Oh, the forbidden knowledge was the d4 table of secrets, but I could have kept the language similar to make that more clear and so it didn't feel like something was missing. Thanks for the feedback! ^_^

Ah, I see it now. Sorry, long hours and post work makes for a bad reader. 😅

The more and more I look through entries for this jam, the more I realise that there's a lot of good graphic design on most things Mork Borg related. Case and point, I love the image of the Shrouded Sovereign as it is beautifully horrifying. The thing I love about it however is that depending on how you play it, and what route your players take, the Sovereign could either be a boss the players have to fight, or a benefactor, because the alternative is working for the Shadow King who is probably just as trustworthy as the soul sucking ghost.

I think if there’s one nit pick I have, its the bite attack. The bite itself is alright for a monster like the sovereign, and the save DR isn't unfair for Mork Borg. However I feel like it should have another attack, nothing major just a simple attack it can use instead of the bite.

The Shrouded Sovereign is, overall,  a solid entry. Its a boss monster with an interesting motivation that could see the players side with it, and some solid artwork and writing to bring it to (un)life.

Thank you for the feedback! This was my first time writing something with a statblock for the game, so I kept it fairly standard, but thank you for the encouragement to branch out and experiment a little more. There was more that I wanted to add in general, but I started running out of space (and time! I started working on my entry on Sunday, lol). Thank you again for the kind words~!
