Neat idea, but once it gets fast it's hard to react quick enough since you have to click on each lever instead of using the keyboard. Some way to tell which way the tracks are going, and maybe having the levers stay up would be nice.
I have already addressed this issue and will be posting the update tonight
I like the idea and execution! I would like to pull the levers with the keyboard buttons, so I can react faster
Also, I think the music didn't loop. But overall I liked it, It was fun! :D
I will be adding keyboard functionality on the next update and for some reason the background music cuts off in browser but not in the editor.
I appreciate the feedback!
Very hard game, but fun nonetheless! Would recommend adding some sound effects and reducing the cart speeds but overall really great game!
Yeah the sound cuts out in the browser but no in the editor i still have not figured that out and yeah it definitely needs some better balance lol.
Thanks for the Feedback!
My high score is 1047. A very simple and fun game, which actually took me a while to understand the way the rails work, maybe you should add some sort of visual cue to notify the change on the rails themselves. Overall it's a good game, hope you do well on upcoming jams too!
Yeah, I'm already in the works of giving it a little update with that in mind.
Thanks for the feedback!
That was hard lol Would have liked a bit more visual feedback for when the tracks are switched and their directions because I found myself confused which one of them I've redirected already and where they go and it felt like an extra UX barrier hahahah TTATT if that was a mechanic the game needed to have, maybe the 4 tracks could have branched off from 1 or 2 tracks where the minecarts come from cause they were hard to keep track (accidental pun) for me ;v;
other than that getting the game done within 8 hours is impressive, I thought you were a wizard lol
I will be doing a future update based on your comment!
Thanks for the great feedback!
Fun game! The switching was challenging but fun and original, I had a good time with it! I might suggest having something like shapes or letters to match up the carts and destinations instead of just colors - this makes it more colorblind friendly and also just easier to see where things should go. Awesome work!!
I will be doing a little update based on this feedback!
Thanks!
Trains! This was quite a challenging game lol, but fun!
Thanks!
Neat concept. I would have liked to control the track switching with 1 to 6 number keys on keyboard.
In addition maybe it would have been better if the tracks keep their state instead of switching back to normal after a card uses them.
Good job!
I really appreciate the feedback I will be doing a little update based on this.
Thanks!
It’s a good concept.
Yellow and Green are very similar and not colorblind friendly.
a randomized track could be cool if you develop this further, or even just multiple levels
Good work!
Thanks for the feedback. I did not even think about the color blind aspect. I guess that's something that gets overlooked often. Also I did realize at the end of development that maybe changing it to a round based game and having the tracks randomize would be a little more fun but unfortunately the way i did the cart movement system i would have had to scrap it and redo the whole thing. lol
