I got 374 as my highest score! This one has some great foundations. The instant step movement is great, the idea of doing TTRPG type stats and rules is a good idea and makes way for some cool customization.

However, I'm not entirely sure any of the stats or starting race mattered. I replayed several times and didn't notice much of a difference and never took damage in fights. Some music, sound effects and combat animations could go a long way too. I also encountered a bug where I couldn't click the button anymore after failing a roll on the artifact. The perspective is a bit off too, I thought I was at a spot I could turn the corner to find a wall.

In general, some elbow grease on this could make way for a really solid ttrpg based dungeon crawler.

There really not much to the game, it is very limited in graphics and gameplay. There should be some sort of indication when attacking enemies, the UI is just basic unreal boxes and textures are stretched. Character creation would be a good idea but it does nothing as far as I can tell.

You screenshots you should not have the error messages in them, that is off putting to people that see them and looks poor. If this is your first game, it is alright but needs a lot more work , at it current state it is not too good.

I am not sure if stats at the start do anything. I put all 1 and I never even got damaged or had issues with opening the doors... felt same-y as with all maxed. Maybe there is a bug with starting a new game, since I see hp dropping in the video provided as an example..

Other than that would love to see part of the grid you stay on, otherwise it feels a bit confusing with perspective at times. And a bit of feedback on actions would be nice too!

Good bones! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.

I tried different characters, my best score was 340.

The game is fun. It controls well, I like the instant movement, character creation and skill checks.

I've got two caveats : first I prefer when the next tile is a bit further away, I think that in most games you get to see a small part of the tile you're currently on at your feet, while in this game you don't even fully see the next one. Secondly I don't think enemies can hurt you, or at least during my playthroughs even my most terrible characters never got hurt.

Thanks for sharing.

Short and simple crawler! Always nice nice with games that are as long as they need to be and don’t stretch their content.

One thing that did confuse me was that I put my lockpicking as close to zero as I could manage, yet only ever failed with one chest and I wonder what would have been appropriate solution to failing to open the doors that way. Since the game needed you to get through the doors.

That was a quick endevour.

Nice graphics.

Tiles seems a bit strange in size.

Game almost goes to quickly imo, could have had some delay or transitions between actions.

Unsure what my final score was cause it was outside the screen,

Chickens.

Neat game! The character creation menu was very unique! I second what others have said about a limit on the stats or skill points would have added a lot.   Maybe a way to see these stats and improve them in the game would have also been good. I also don't know what the race added.  The art was good overall, the enemy idle animations were very well done! However, the walls seemed a little out of place to me. For enemy encounters, some sort of visual indicator such as a health bar for enemies would have made combat feel much better in my opinion. As for movement instant step worked well, except in some spots the surroundings were too similar and I lost my sense of direction. A short but neat game overall, good work!

I like any game that lets me name my characters.
Though I agree it needed limiters so you actually had to think about allocation.
I maxed everything out to 10 too cuz I have no honour.

I see what you were going for with the genre mix, but I could just max out all my stats in the creator and steamroll everything on the first go, hehe. A limitation on the stats allocation would've highlighted the various mechanical limitations better. A good attempt!

The combat could use a little more feedback to let the player know what's going on but the concept of creating a character for the dungeon was cool. Nice job!
