This jam was supposed to be for collaborating. Did you collaborate with anyone to make this game? It would seem you didn't, which is a shame. You could have probably achieved more if you had.
Here's a few observations about your game, anyway. First of all, the graphics are quite nice, for what is there. The game does not explain itself, so luckily I thought to check your game page on itchio. Playing the game felt "off" when I went to the portal/dungeon and fought the skeletons. There was no feedback so I couldn't tell if I was hitting the skeleton until after it was dead and gave me bones. Desperately needs sounds. The UI needs some work as well. Using the window exit button to leave the dungeon is not a good idea, imo. Anyway, the game has cute vibes and potential! I think you should continue with it. Perhaps make it more of an adventure than what the theme was driving. (I didn't really care for the storyline.) Good luck with it!!

I was able to beat it, I had the best luck when I hammered CTRL with my right hand while moving with my left. I have similar feedback as the other comment, so I’ll leave that out, but I liked the loop of looting the maze to upgrade your weapon!
Hey, I played your game! Here are some suggestions:
-The theme wasn't self evident through the gameplay. Without reading the page description, I don't think most would understand the story. Some more NPC dialogue and perhaps an introduction would help.
-I got stuck on walls a LOT. Luckily, I never had to reset, but it's a very common problem.
-The "fake walls" mechanic wasn't fun. Combined with the fact that it's easy to get stuck on real walls, it made for a frustrating experience.
-Adding sound effects would have been cool.
I loved the mechanic where you close the window to return to the overworld---it's an interesting mechanic I have not seen before in any game. I also had fun with the gameplay loop (big fan of classic RPGs where you delve into part of a dungeon and return to town for supplies), but when I returned to the overworld and couldn't find my way back to town (I was in an endless desert with no buildings or people), I stopped playing at that point
Thanks for the feedback, I planned some features like the sounds and cutscenes/ NPC dialogues, but it wasn't any time left. I'm really sorry for the bugs like getting stuck. I had the same problem sometimes. I also realized that you sometimes spawned far out in the desert or got damaged when no enemies were near.
I really appreciate your feedback. I'm gonna fix the bugs and upload a second version but for this jam I didn't plan it right and without using an engine it was a big failure.
