Don't really want to critique this more than the technical stuff, since this seems more like a learning project.

The game stuttered for me every 1 second consistently. So probably something on a timer need optimizing.

The way the game downscaled to a low resolution didn't appear correct. It ended up with a weird patterns of pixels.

Often could hear something shooting at me, but couldn't see anything shooting at me.

Linux version runs fine.

Really need some SFX for shooting, it’s no fun to shoot right now, and that’s the most obvious thing that’s missing. It looks like you’re taking some cues from Boltgun, whether you are or not, the eponymous Boltgun is a great reference for juicing up a starting gun.

Also really need enemy firing SFX and damage feedback.

‘E’ to interact? smdh

I like the skybox, I dig the environment in general.

The head-bob feels really off. You want it be subtle but the crunchy pixelation filter makes it feel like it’s just jerking up and down at a slow pace.

Cool prototype. The scale kinda messed me up a bit and I didn't recognize E1M1 immideately. Needs more speed, more weapons and damage indicators.

Pretty cool, keep it up!

The sprites are nice.

I saw an outside area in the room where the green armor in E1M1 used to be.

But the mouse feels slow when turning and I can't tell if the monkeys are spawning in the level or they're just invisible at times depending on the angle.

Very attractive styling but wasn't very fun for me. My space boomer walked very slowly and it's easy to die suddenly since there's no damage feedback. Maybe other boomers are faster. I really liked that all of the pixel resolution was consistent.

Neat little Doom clone. No real notes. If you want to fix something, you can get stuck on the angled wall on the right in the game's screenshot for the jam. If you face the wall and move right, you get stuck. The other diagonal wall is fine.

This is just doom 1! Jokes aside it's a bit early to give feedback but could be a cool doom clone. I don't like that the enemies rotates as flat planes, they should have directional bill boards.

I hope this project evolves to something more.

solid first 3d project.
i won't go into the details of what to improve, because from what i gather it was a learning project and you don't plan to expand it further.
i will say though that it was a bit too low resolution for my tastes

Yeah, it's my 3d learning sandbox. Resolution was decided to be game boy color res for a jam lol

Needs sound for weapons/hits and better feedback when you get shot. Projectile sprite3ds should probably have billboard mode on always facing the player so that they can be seen more easily. I was taking a lot of damage without realizing it or even seeing enemies shoot. There were healthpacks literally every where though so it didn't matter
