How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
In Divine Intervention, you play as Dameon — a mortal who defies Hades himself with the aid of divine forces. After each victorious room, you summon the gods' blessings in the form of buff cards, each enhancing your powers and guiding your path toward vengeance. These cards are central to gameplay and narrative, representing divine intervention as gods lend you strength in battle. Your ultimate goal is to claim the God CARD and ascend to godhood.
Controls:
WASD – Move
Left Mouse – Primary Attack
Right Mouse – Secondary Attack / Hold (with Shield) to Block
Shift – Dash (or Block if held, both consume stamina)
Mouse Scroll – Cycle Buff Cards
Q – Activate Selected Buff
E – Interact with Objects/Portals
Tip: Press E on the portal to descend deeper into the underworld. Best experienced with headphones!

Wow this was really cool! The intro was awesome, and i liked the look and feel of the game! Nice work :D
I really enjoyed playing your game!:)
The intro stunned me, a great introduction with presumambly(?) your own recording?:)
Awesome! I loved that! It got me really hyped! :D
It's definitely a game with potential, if there would've been more time to inlude more levels. For me it always finished after the fourth portal, after collecting the golden card!
The enemies seemed quite easy to defeat, which would also be solved with more levels and increasing difficulty of the enemies. (The enemies reminded me of the AmongUs figures xD to which i lol'd)
And the "soft-mouse-movement" was something i had to get used to at first, too.
I also had a feeling of originality regarding your game-design and creativity! :)
Thank you so much! And yes, I voice acted both the tutorial and the first introduction as Dameon. However, my friend Martyna voice acted Athena.
The game is quite short but this was sort of expected, since the original scope of the game had more to do with random level generation and almost like a dungeon crawler feel.
And yes, the enemies do have the reputation of being known as among us characters LOL. I actually had models for it, but the animation side of things was taking too long, so I cut down on the scope and did the bare necessities. I’m thinking of making an extended version of the game, something that lasts 45 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes with a few more gods and also a boss battle, but I’m still in the process of evaluvating whether I want to take that on.
The mouse movement was something I realized was hard to grasp in playtesting, but I didn’t have enough time to add settings, so I left it in.
The game idea is entirely inspired by Epic: The Musical & Hades (the game). Those two artefacts of human art are quite close to my heart, so I couldn’t help it haha.
Yoo this is so cool! The game gives me some "Gunfire Reborn" vibes, paired with greek mythology and such beautiful visuals is so freakin awesome! Only part I can critize is that it is so short, it's a lot of fun to play, so it's really unfortunate I get to play only 3 levels :(
Amazing work!
Honestly I was planning to make a random level generation along with multiple levels, think Hades. But I didn’t have the time and I didn’t want to risk it. Thank you so much for playing, it warms my heart to hear that <3
Good job, and cool idea!
It was quite fun to mess around with the different abilities and weapons that were available. Awesome Game!
Thank you so much!!! I’m so glad that you enjoyed it!
This game looks very promising but I unfortunately can't get past the very first card choosing. I pick the unknown card, it gets revealed, then I can't do anything after that :( Is there any way to get past that problem?
Edit: Fixed in latest build!
The game is pretty nice! I really liked the narration at the beginning, it's a detail that really counts and sets the ambience. The gameplay is nice and fun, the game has replayability potential. If I could change one thing, I'd make it so the portals aren't active unless you've defeated a room, because I realized I can just sprint down the rooms and basically speedrun the game in 5 seconds 🤓 I haven't had any bugs, and the art is really solid. Good job to the two of you :)
Usually a continue button shows up, but I’ll test the build just in case! Please attach a screenshot if you could :))
That's probably it! I have a big monitor and I'm pretty sure I can't see the button because of that. If you could release a build where the window is resizable or fixed to 1920x1080 I'll happily test that out, sorry for bothering!
I’ll do that right away!
Awesome thanks!
I’ve uploaded the new release 1.1, give it a shot, because to be honest I don’t have a bigger monitor to really test it out on! If not, perhaps manually downsize your monitor in the control panel to a lower resolution to give the game a try and then you can just turn it back :)
I can actually get past the first card now woohoo!
Yay! I’m glad, let me know how you like the game and if there are any bugs :) I’m thinking of MAYBE adding some updates later to make the game smooth and add some enemy models LOL.
I updated my original review, thanks for taking the time to fix the display issue for me and my big ass monitor❤️
No problem at all! :)
And if you’re talking about the portal! Sorry it wasn’t clear I couldn’t put much of a tutorial in the time haha, but press on E when you walk up to the portal :)
HAHAHA, that’s true! I thought I fixed it in the code so you couldn’t just speedrun it, but I guess I didn’t xD
very good game
Please check the game page! It's EXTREMELY important to understand how to play the game!
