- Great art, great mood. The weird feeling of creepiness' was there, the creepy voices were great. I have a bit of an issue with gameplay tho. Clicking on the "brothers" was very hard, it was frustrating to click and it wouldn't work, specially when asked to quickly dodge an attack. I couldn't tell what was the difference from getting one of the 2 more expensive brothers. The night felt more annoying than anything, I would just wait for it to end so I can see, trying to bank on bringing back heads at that time didnt seem to be worth the effort. It took me a while to understand that I had to click the sacrifice thingy for it to work, I expected it to work like like mushrooms or attacking the "gentlemen". Bringing back the character from your jam of 2 years ago was a nice touch, with the MEAT LUMBS, but that fight was very frustrating since the boss seem to have a lot of HP and fighting with the controls was more frustrating than anything. I gave up after 2 tries. The art and presentation of the game was great.
Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)
Mr. Flo-ax did a bit of the music, and a IRL friend did a handful of sound effects
Disclose if you used any public domain assets or not.
Yes, some music and sound effects were from public domain

The polish on the graphics and music is crazy! The vibe is strong and it feels good to play! The gameplay is fun at the start, and the head hunting mechanic is a smart way to incorporate the theme further!
The gameplay did lose me a bit near the end as there isn't really much strategy with the gameplay. There is a hint that says you should move your cultists to dodge attacks, but this never felt like a necessary option and it was easier to just overpower with numbers especially once you unlock the last unit type.
Despite that, this is overall a great submission. and you definitely have a knack for art, vibes, and themes!
Thanks! Yeah the gameplay definitely took a bit of a backseat in comparison to the art and vibes. More of an artist than a game designer so still a bit wonky at it but trying to get better lol. Thanks for playing!
That was so much fun! And very nice art
The art is really well done, gives me a vibe of both Isaac and Cult of The Lamb. Gameplay was fun, interesting take on the theme! Two small gripes; The flashlight at night was a bit too small imo, it made it hard to see (I know that's probably the point, but it could've been a bit more). Also at the boss battle I think some kind of audio bug happened because there was this slimey sound effect that just kept playing on repeat like it was glitched which was a little annoying.
But other than that, very polished game!
father eated me :(
(really good game and as usual super cool art)
your style is too good. Obviously your art style is unique and youre really good, but your gameplay and design work so well with it. Great job!
low-key wish this game was called "Daddy's Hungry" but overall amazing game! love the art
When father is hungry he eats the flesh of the FOOLS 10/10 changed my life
Super fun game!
This game was super fun! My only problem with it was when I was on the way to deliver a head to father, but he suddenly changed his mind which was not super cool. I also wasn't sure what is the benefit of delivering father's preferred head, I assume you just gain more points. Regardless this was an awesome experience!!
Yeah giving the preferred head gives 2.5 points instead of the normal 1.5, ain't much but lets you rack up points a lot faster if you're dedicated lol. Glad you liked the game!
all I know is that father is hungry, and I think.. that's all I need to know.
