A true joy to experience! I loved the fun use of evolution theme and how the play and graphics expanded along the way. It was way to hard for my wimpy self, but I loved every minute of it - can't wait to see an easy mode added ;) but the challenge was still fun and I definitely got a lot better as I went along.
The biggest problem I had while playing, was that I missed some of the instructional text (about dashing), and when I hit ESCAPE to see if there was a way to display what the keys did, it instantly exited the game. It would be nice if that didn't happen.
Thanks for your feedback. A menu that shows control buttons would be a good addition for sure.
Everything feels good, except when I die the player spawns first then the level loads so lot's of time I get stuck inside of environment and I've to restart the game

Awesome game, evolving it from a side scroller to a more 3D game is a really cool idea, looks great and sounds great and has a nice mix of different mechanics, great cutscene at the start too. Managed to get to Magnis but died and then I couldn't face the right direction to grapple back up to her so I couldn't beat the game but I might try again tomorrow because I want to see the ending

I did die to the arachnid queen a few times and then got stuck in a rock when respawning and had to restart the game lmao I was having fun so I didn't mind haha
Oh no! lmao. Looks like I got a lot of bugs to fix. That's the hard part about game jams. Once it's in it's in lol. I'm glad you were having fun though!
