  • I'm dyslexic, I'm sure the game is cool, but that's way too much text for me to go through. I'll just accept this is not a game for me and refrain from rating it to not influence the rankings.

OH MAN THIS IS SO COOL!

You put in SO MUCH EFFORT in the writing and gameplay, it is genuinely tense to try to piece together everything given the time limit! I loved the 1st level's sprites too, wish we had more of those. But still, the music choice is astounding and fits really well with this game! I would applaud your phenomenal writing skills, especially with the Apex Chemical Rep, its way too accurate and corporate lol.

Overall, phenomenal work my dude!

Thank you so much man! I am glad u liked it.

I had no time to create all the sprites.. considering there were total of about 106 evidences.. each would have had its own sprite. I tried my best and created atleast 15 of them...

Thanks again for your feedback.

This was a really cool game! The cases were well written and engaging, I appreciated how the dialogue and evidence screen present slightly different information sometimes, so you really have to review everything and think critically about it. Apparently, I'm a pretty bad detective lol. The music and vibe was nice even with just one track.

I think some stronger visual elements would help this style of game. maybe some animated character portraits, or "case photos" of the crime scenes to help with set dressing. I understand from a previous comment that it would be a large undertaking to make tons of images, which I absolutely understand. It just came to my head when playing.

When I started the jam, I was initially planning to do a noir detective game as well, so personally its especially really cool to see that idea realized in some form! Awesome work.

Thank You for your feedback! Glad You Enjoyed the Game.

About the UI, Yes, It could have been improved a lot if I had put work into it. I accept that is felt a bit sloppy at that end. I believe it was due to my lack of UI knowledge in Python PyGame Module. I did not use any game engine, instead made it all with barebones of Python Module called PyGame. And it was one of my first projects in it. But looking at it overall, I think i did well. Looking at your comments, u seem to be impressed, so thank you again for your appreciation.

I will update this game in the future, and might even release a fully designed, well polished version of it, so stay tuned!

Thanks a lot though, I appreciate it!!!

I really enjoyed this! I managed to get 8.86 on my moral score. The cases were very in-depth and I can tell you put a lot of effort into them.

I liked the small icons for the evidences in the earlier cases. They added a lot of personality and I personally think it would've been better to have fewer cases that all had those icons, rather than only the first few having them.

But great job!

Glad You Enjoyed it! About the Icons, actually there were in total 103 different evidences. Each would have required it own unique icon. I think u can imagine the hassle here😅. I managed to get about 15 done before jam ended.

But again, Thanks a lot for playing!!
