Seems like it could be cool, but I just couldn't sus out how it all worked.

Idea seems interesting but it is confusing how the game works and how you are supposed to play. I think if rules were explained and knew how to play it could be a lot more fun to play.

Interesting game. I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.

I really tried to understand how it works. Took me a while to see that you have to slap reveal card on top of the card that is played to see. Targeting that card is so hard sometimes that it didn't work first few times and even after I learned how it supposed to work - it was hard to apply reveal on cards. Especially on stacked ones.

I don't know what arrows on card spots mean. I figured it must be some other sort to show that enemy using cards there, but you unable to reveal it... but I still had been pecked with those slots blocked by cards.

Speaking of... it felt that I had to counter enemy peck with move and peck in blanks, but... again - there was random damage almost all the time and I couldn't quite figure out how to avoid it completely.

It felt that whole revealing play was hurting the system. If you have no reveals you know nothing about how to counter it and even then - empty slots still did damage sometimes, so there was that.

Idea of a chicken tournament was nice. I just wish I could understand what is going on better. I couldn't beat last chicken that has massive ammount of hp, but I think I've beat all the others and it still was showing me as rank 10 (didn't quite change on several chicken fights for some reason though).

As stated by nearly everyone, I didn't understand the mechanics of the card game, which is a shame, because it looked like there was quite a complex thing happening there. The idea of a tournament where your place went up and down based on the outcome was pretty swell, but it definitely needs a tutorial or some instructions (on the game page would do as well)

Fun idea, but I have no idea how to play.

Nice game and solid premise about fighting to get to the top. Great work!

The crawling and art were great and the idea of the fusion card game had potential.

Unfortunately, I didn't really understand any of the mechanics. The peck said it does 6 damage, often times it did less. There was a reveal and move card, I didn't know what move did and while reveal showed the hidden card the enemy was playing, it wasn't very useful since I didn't know how the other interactions of the cards made any difference. I had to cheese my way to the last chicken but ultimately didn't want to spend 20 minutes chipping away not knowing the best way to approach combat.

I recorded my gameplay here

Well I got pecked by the second Chicken :/

Nice looking game. The card and combat mechanics aren’t that apparent tho. Whats going on there? The movement via mouse-hover is a little strange but the keys work just fine!

So overall a nice little game with some room for improvements ;)

I have made it to the top of the PECKING ORDER.

I eventually won without playing any card during the last battles because it was quicker, I don't have a single clue of how the combat system works and that it can be played quick is the best part of the game, even if I also like the overall silliness.

I think the game is cool overall.

I made it into the top of the pecking order!

Interesting game idea, I liked it very much!

I never understood the card system, but I managed to find a move that made me win more than I lost so went with that until I got to the top.

Maybe some more polish on the systems would be nice. Picking the cards were not always consistent for instance.

Nice entry!

I really tried to play this game but I just can't put a finger on how the card system works. This really needed a tutorial as it's not obvious how it works and what cards do apart from the damage one.  As for what I could play, I thought using the mouse for movement was very unique but it didn't quite work for me as it was a bit too sensitive to turns. There were also a few times when my camera started glitching out and I was off-centered from the tile. Another issue is that the chicken didn't die for me once they were defeated, they were just stuck at 1HP and I could still interact with them.  Also, once I lost all my health I had no clue how to regain HP, it refilled once randomly but I have no clue how that happened. Anyways, good work! If you add an explanation of the card system in your game description I'll give it another go.

I wasn't really sure how the card system worked, so some instructions would be helpful.
