I really loved Detective Eugene's story - the dialogue system and response choices are exceptionally well crafted. The art direction, while still needing some work, already nails that classic noir atmosphere perfectly. Great job! I hope to see this project grow even further. Cheers!

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah there are a lot of half-finished designs in there and I really wish I had had more time to focus on the art while building the game. I hope to return to this one day and improve and expand on it all.  Thanks again!

I think the visual design of the characters and world show a lot of promise! I was really missing some audio cause I could just imagine some fun neo noir jazzy instrumentals in the background of everything. Will be excited to see what an updated version looks like.

Thanks so much! Yeah I agree the audio would make this a lot better. I just made another game in a different jam and added music and sound effects (though they don't work properly in the web version, ugh), and it really did improve the game. I'll have to find some time to go back and finish A Rat's Tale off!

I really like this kind of visual style — it's original and memorable. I hope you finish the project — would love to see the final version. The game has a great atmosphere, and that really pulls you in.

Developer

Thank you. I do plan on coming back to it one day!

I really enjoyed it! it's unpolished, rough around the edges and has a lot of jank but i love it! this game made me feel clever and it truely felt like an old school point and click. I wanna see this finished and I reckon you have something special here.

Developer

Hey Nic, thanks again for your feedback and for streaming it! I'm hoping to come back and work on this one day to finish it off, even if it's just to get the audio done and polish off everything in this first "chapter" without adding more to the story yet. I'll see how it goes. Cheers
