- Nice art. I like the look of the game. I kind of understood the gameplay, but coundt really figure out a strategy. Sand would be stuck in my hand, sholves would trade cards for more cards and the rocks were mostly a burden to throw somewhere else. I'm guessing I was supposed to dig to a certain point ? I didn't really understand.

I have never liked or understood regular solitaire, but I love the idea and gameplay of this. It is very fun and I will most likely continue to play it after the jam :)
This is once again my new favourite! Gameplay gets a 5/5 (you're the first one to get that from me) !
I managed to find the treasure in Rock and Stone but I didn't win...?
Really inventive game! The art was neat and I was surprised by the number of game modes.
"I won!"
"Nevermind :("
funny voicelines lol
I sadly couldn't beat the last two levels. I wish you could simply play a treasure and it disappears, because at the end of House of Gold, I couldn't win because I had sand in my hand and no bucket, and I had tried reaaally hard to get there. I was so close >.<
Thanks for making this!
Yeah, we somehow didn't test Rock and Stone after making a change that broke it until after the deadline. I fixed it the same day as the deadline but I obviously couldn't edit the submission. It's fixed in the GitHub version, which also has some fixed animations.
I'm surprised so many people like the art. I'm not really an artist and would've preferred to have a dedicated artist on our team. The art I tried to make passable but had to balance with also making all the code for the game, which included learning a bit of WebGL since I hadn't used it before.
We did a push in the last couple of days to go from 2 modes to 8 instead of making animations.
I then made the questionable decision to add animations in the last few hours while Peter was asleep and couldn't stop me.
Yeah, from what I understand, that's part of Peter's intended challenge in House of Gold. It's expected that you might lose like that. You have to manage making sure you have a bucket available if you pick up any sand and put off using it until you won't be picking up any more sand. The only person so far that I know has beaten House of Gold is my girlfriend. Even Peter and I haven't gotten around to it yet.
My complements for also beating the old version of Tower of Babel! (We made some adjustments to that challenge after the fact once we had more time for testing.)
I managed to beat normal mode and crab rave. But I'm not sure if there is some strategy or it's just about luck. I really liked how the shader tied the art style together.
You can use luck to win everything up to and including Crab Rave, but after that you really start to have to use proper strategy to win.
You can also win the earlier levels more reliably (almost every time) if you use good strategy.
Took me quite a while to figure out but I managed to beat the normal mode! (mostly by just clicking around and hoping it would work lol)
Nice art and unique gameplay!
Some of the later levels make that strategy not viable, lol. Half the art was designed with the intention of being replaced but then we were too busy making more levels, polishing the UI a little, and fixing bugs.
I kept clicking the back button thinking it would undo the move I was about to play lmaoooo it was fun though! I got the chest after a few tries, good job :)
Rated :) Found it to be quite challenging :D I really like the artstyle, such a retro vibe, quite charming :)
This is such a cool concept that works so well! I managed to beat normal mode after about five attempts, its challenging but fun, nice job
Really cool concept! i'm just too dumb for this lmao. I beat the normal level but then tried the others and got stuck on all of them.
