- Awesome game ! I love the different movement, the art, the different direction the character can face, the intro cutscene. I REALLY like the audio, the multiple layers of music changing based on what's going on is a nice touch that adds a lot, the pitch wramp up of the collectibles. For the gameplay I feel it's a bit too long. I reached the first boss once, then had to try again 5 times to reach him, to finally beat him by standing still because it was easier to tank him than to try to hit him with all that moment, but then once I beat him, I was thrown with the same amount of energy in the next level and almost instantly died because I was too far from any firefly to pick up, ngl, I though this would be the final boss and that it was the end. I feel there's not enough upgrades (like I got mostly got 0, the best I had was 2 and I instantly died after). The enemies were a bit hard to see when they were vulnerable and it was very very VERY hard to turn around even tho you would very often need to do so to finish the enemies and pick up their fireflies. Also the pilling up of enemies was really problematic, because seems like a vulnerable enemy would sometimes get "eaten" by another one and disappear on top of them picking up fireflies, so you would have a anti-snowball against you were there's too many enemies to kill them all, too many to finish them, too many to pick back up the fireflies and too many to even see if one is vulnerable. That being said, I have a lot to say because I was engaged enough and had enough fun to play a good amount. I did play for 30 min, did about 6-7 runs, a bit why I feel I should've reach further. But awesome game, the amount of polish is great, that audio, that art, that original gameplay. Great !
Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)
I worked on this alone.
Disclose if you used any public domain assets or not.
Around half the sound effects come from Pixabay, edited or not. I also used the japanese sound effect formerly known as "yooooooooooo"

Sounds, music, and art are really nice. Regarding gameplay I find finishing enemies with the super dash a bit difficult because there is usually a second enemy still alive blocking me from dashing through the first one especially with the skating movement making positioning a bit difficult. But I definitely want to return to get better and hopefully beat one of the bosses
I really like the movement - it's quite unique and feels good to control. The art and music also work nicely together. Always great to see a cutscene, too. I think I'll be coming back to this game after the jam!
Very fun game and as expected, super cool pixel art! I managed to get ~2100-ish and sadly did not encounter any bosses. It did get a little overwhelming at times when there were 4+ enemies on screen making the super dash a bit hard to execute which caused me to run out of energy.
I will probably come back to this later because I'd love to see what the bosses are like.
I think my favorite part of this was the sound/music. I also like the monster designs.
Great job!
A very solid game! The art and animations are fantastic, and the opening cutscene is really good. The gameplay has a really good flow state, moving is floaty yet feels controllable and smooth. The balance of movement and attacks feels great and makes the gameplay fun. I liked the enemy variety and the upgrades, and I would love to come back to this to try to get a better score.
Great job!
Super fun game!
