Seems like a neat start! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.

The concept is good but the game needs a lot of work. There is very little here, the ui is nice and graphics looks good. But There was only single enemy, not much else going on and game is unclear with step timer and when you dropping idols off

If you did more work on the game I think it could be good but in the current state it feels too empty.

I didn't realize it was step based, not time based.  And since I kept pressing turn too early, I kept rushing and talking sub-optimal routes.  But I did beat it in the end.  I was so confused, because I really felt like I was too slow on the winning run.

All the foundations are here for a crawler. Good movement, the graphics are nice and I really liked the sky out the window of the castle, the concept and story were cool too and the music was good as well. I did play several times to beat it! You really need to manage your time on this one, there's not a second to spare looking out the window at the pretty skybox lol

However, I didn't realize there was even a timer at all, so some sort of feedback would be nice for the player, maybe the castle rumbles or you see the cloud rushing by the windows as you get closer to failing. The FOV was a bit off too, like a fisheye lens. Obviously the content was overall sparse, but I would like to see this expanded on. More meaningful combat and enemies and more on the story of the floating castle! I hope to see a post jam update maybe?

Not bad, my recording of gameplay is here

Interesting concept.

It took me something like 4 times until I managed to complete it. One of the main issues was that the delivery to the tree required me to rotate which wasn’t at all obvious. It wouldn’t take the spirit by just walking up to it. I also felt like the time / number of steps given was a bit too close to the most optimal run that it felt a bit unfair.

But I really like the idea, it would be interesting to see it expanded upon. Maybe you slow down the drop rate for each spirit you return, maybe you can sort of regain some height each time you get rid of one of the invaders. Something to keep the tension for longer and giving the player second chances.

Great suggestions, and I agree with you on the gameplay issues. Making this was a great learning experience, and I appreciate you playing!

I saved the castle! It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that it was move and not time-based (even though you said so in the description, I just can't read apparently). I wish there were levels to play. Solid job for getting something together in a week!

A good base that worked pretty well. I also had to read the comments to figure out why sometimes my idols were disappearing (I was just delivering them, hah). Would be nice to see a bit more content added to it, to make it a more engaging experience.

I have saved the castle!

I liked the graphics, though rooms felt a bit empty (well some castles are usually not very crowded too!).

I haven’t figured out in my first run (in which castle have crashed) why those idols were disappearing, but on the second read I finally got the idea and saved the castle. Probably some kind of feedback from delivering an idol would be nice (I heard some sound, but it was so musical it might’ve been just a part of background music).

I was also pleasantly surprised by the UI work. It’s not perfect, but it feels right for the jam game!

Yes, I saved the castle, finally. Took me over 10 tries though. Never understood the meaning of the suns, and I dint attack the enemy the first runs.

Nice graphics, and sound works.

Short but sweet. Zooming around the castle was fun.

I saved the castle!, although it took me more tries that I want to admit, in part because it took me a while to realise that what moved a spirit to the tree was rotating in front of it.

It's a small game but what's there works, the 2 tunes are nice, the movement and perspective are good and just executing the optimal route is fun enough.

Thanks for playing and giving feedback! We didn't quite get everything in as we wanted, but it was a great learning experience and the team made some beautiful stuff!
