  • Interesting concept. Almost kind of like jackbox but single player. While the tutorial was great and showcase the mechanic clearly. I'm not sure why some answer were the less popular so it felt a bit random. Lik the "pick a shield" option, picking the leave seem like the obvious "less popular" option, but then it was actually the metal shield ? I liked the polish of it, having those cursors "getting shot" made it interesting to see what was the right answer. The art, the audio, was great.

Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)
In a group of 2 : Christophe (myself) and Jack

Disclose if you used any public domain assets or not.
Yes, the details are in the game page, but its pretty much just the music, fonts and some sfx that are from the internet

Really nice and polished game! I could feel the mind games constantly tumbling me all over, but I had tons of fun with the game! Great work <3

There is so much polish and attention to the finer details plus the concept is really cool as well. Had me second guessing myself in the best way. The tutorial is also really smart and not going to lie I might be “borrowing” the scoring system for a future jam. You know it’s a great game when you’re sad it’s finished, the extra game mode gave replaying it a bit of extra edge. Great work!!

Thank you very much for your very thoughtful comment ! I’m glad you enjoyed the game !!

This is such an ingenious concept, I love it!!! Very clever way of using the theme and overall a very polished game. I have no idea how people got such high scores on the leaderboards but it's really cool that you added one!

Great job!!

Thank you, I am glad that you like our game  😊

I think that to get a really high score might not be possible at all times, as it depends on there being a large variance between the most picked answer and the least picked (because there will be more cursors on the buttons you didn't choose). This was something that we thought about during the design but didn't have time to come up with a great solution 😋

Wow, I didn't realise the leaderboard aspect of the game in my first try, and how it plays into the replayability of the game. Also, a really fun way to study how people think when you give them the task of selecting the least popular choice. The overall packaging is top notch, love the credits to Gisel and Ellie, say hi to them from me :)

Awww such a nice comment, I’ll be sure to say hi to Gisel for you <3 <3 Thank you very much !!

Great game! Reminds me of the UK TV quiz show 'Pointless', where the goal is to come up with an answer which the fewest other people also came up with. The hunters mode in this game added a really nice twist - will I go for what I think is the least common... or will everyone else be going for that, too? The art, sound effects and juice are very good. Well done!

One of the funnest games I've rated in this Jam. I particularly liked the hunting hunters mode. May I ask how you have hosted the leaderboard and HH mode, for I was looking for a hosting place for a leaderboard for my game

Originally I started with using Talo for the leader boards, but it didn't quite have what I needed for the hunting hunters mode so I swapped everything over to Supabase which is much more of a generic database. If you just want leaderboards and player accounts I would recommend Talo as it is super easy to set up, but if you want more control I feel like Supabase is much more powerful and customisable. They both offer a free package that should be more than enough for a game jam 😊

If you were using Godot I would be happy to help out, but since you are using monogame I am not sure I would be of much help 😋. The docs for both are pretty good though and they have a section on how to use it with a web-api

Thanks for that. I’ll probably update my game later to put a leaderboard in it after the jam. Good luck
