The central mechanic of luring enemies around is solid, and has some interesting results. I liked the hourglass in the HUD changing as time goes on, rather than using a more precise, modern timer--this felt very thematic!

Note that the main character's background was black, rather than a transparency. Also, I couldn't help feeling that all the action was just a bit too slow. I wanted the main character to move a little faster, the enemies to move a little faster, the timer to run out a little faster.

yeah i get you about the speed part, but about the whole black player background, a lot of ( if not all ) true 1-bit games ( like only 2 colors ) didn't really have a transparency ( the main reason for this is that in 1-bit games, there was only on or off for the colors, so transparency didn't exist ) , so none of the sprites in this game have any bit of transparency ( other than the hourglass ),  to stay true to that style ( and a bit just to save time )

It's a valid esthetic choice, it just looked strange to me.

The art was pretty good. The luring away of enemies was also fun. Their idle animation kind of gave me crypt of the necrodancer vibes.

I like the idea of luring enemies away to open up new areas of the map!

Nice concept, luring enemies to positions was an interesting play

Very Fun and Quirky. And the guy in the cutscene looks like a Jamal to me. My only words of advice are the player sprite. Try deleting the excess pixels. Great Game!

I liked the color palette and the music. Luring the enemy into the right position was fun. I couldn't beat level 2 because I kept running out of time.
