I found the lighting very sleek, and the sounds created a nice atmosphere. I liked the time pressure from your light running out, it made the gameplay tense during the last moments. Nice!
Thank you very much!
The atmosphere created by the sounds really immerse you very well. The art is well done and the lighting is awesome and unique. I enjoyed finding the the little text snippets throughout the map and had a fun time playing :)
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Very nice lighting effect, well done!
Thanks!
The lighting is done very well. The soundscape is also rich and immersive. The controls are smooth.
One critique--it was very difficult to read the flavor text while simultaneously platforming on a strict timer. Under the circumstances, it would have been preferable to either 1) use voiceovers or 2) pause the game while the text is onscreen. Additionally, at one point some of the text was outside the bounds of the game, so I couldn't read the whole thing (this was on the far left of the screen).
Question--how did you achieve the lighting? Is it just a 3D game with sprites? A 2D lighting system? Some kind of raycasting system you came up with?
Thank you for your comment! I'm thinking about fixing the text issue in the next update. So, about the lighting: I made over the player a small source of light that moves like every 0.1 second, and made walls cast really long shadows. Also added a ring of light that is shrinking around the player, starts blinking when becomes small and dissapears, destroying the light source. Hope that explained the mechanics
My favorite game outta the ones I've played so far! Visuals were phenomenal and I felt a sense of urgency with time with my light fading. Only real issue is that its kinda tough to tell where to go especially when the light got smaller, Id probably place more smaller light around the level scene. It felt like I won by luck more than anything. Otherwise great game!
Thank you so much! 😄

Interesting style! At some point I thought you could have made it with long 3D blocks that stick right into the camera (like earlier GTA games made their cities), but maybe it is some other technique.
And sound greatly contributes to the atmosphere of loneliness and despair, I like that! ¦3
Thank you very much! I tried making long shadows to add more "claustraphobic" feel and add sense of being lost. Seems that it worked...
This one felt very polished and was interesting to explore.
Only downside was that the text got sometimes in the way of the player. I could see changeing the used colors based on the light or so as well.
Good entry though!
Thank you, it's nice that you liked it! I might fix text in the next update
the visual style was awesome
Thank you!
cool game only critism couldent see the theme
cool shadow system
Thanks! I interpreted the theme as the character not having time to stay in one place and constantly needing to progress quickly
I love the way the light and shadows look! The sound design kinda reminds me of Animal well (which is a good thing). The text boxes are an aspect that could be improved in my opinion. First of all, they can block your view so you can't see where you're jumping to(this happened to me.). Maybe the textboxes could be semitransparent using dithering so you can still see the level? Also, I stopped reading a lot of the text because you are constantly under a time limit, which is a shame since I liked the writing quite a bit. The controls feel good, and the platforming, while simple, is a lot of fun!
Thank you for such a nice review! Making text boxes semitransparent using dithering is actually a great idea, might add that in the next update! The initial idea was that you kinda had to fail on your quest while learning the lore, but the new knowledge wold help you to move forward. But the story is optional in the final version for now :P
The lore helping you progress is a really cool idea.! Kind of like a metroidvania but where instead of collecting powerups and abilities, you gain knowledge on how to progress maybe? I hope you expand on the game, cus it's very cool :D
Cool game! The shadows make some platforms look 3D while climbing, which adds difficulty to the platforming and forces the player to develop a mental map for navigation. The extra lore provided by the masks is a nice touch.
Thank you!
