Really cool concept! It did take me a bit to figure out what was going on, and some improvements to the interactiveness of the game would go a long way to fixing that, but this is a solid mechanic and I'm curious to see where it could be taken with more development.

Haha, at first I completely missed the point, I thought I was pushing the robots out of the panel with my bullets and didn't understand that the more you get hit the more you slide. Then now that it made sense I think it's a very cool idea and a very adequate game loop for a game jam which also perfectly fits the theme, the game is pretty fun.

One way or another, I don't know what part I would change, but I think I wish I would get overwhelmed quicker, in fact after a while it seems like the main way you might die is that if one or two enemies in a row pop exactly where you are which is not even a specially fun way to die.

Cool game!

This is a super creative little idea! The setting has a lot of personality; besides the missing sound, I'd say my two big issues are the fact that even though the camera is isometric, the controls aren't, which I found disorienting-- And while the oilies making you more slippery is a great idea, I thought that the escalation felt too... "sudden"? I barely noticed what was going on since getting darker was so subtle and the additions to my slipperiness felt minute until suddenly I was SUPER dark and slippery and it was impossible to survive. I think it would be a little more exciting if you started a little slippery by default and had each hit have a more noticeable, gradual change to your movement (and in exchange there could be items that spawn randomly that can clean you up a little or something). Looking forward to seeing more of this!

that’s awesome feedback, thank you so much. I will have to put some time in after this jam to implement that

What a fun little experience! As someone that works in solar photovoltaics this theme is right up my street :) I didn't have any audio on my end, not sure if that was my fault, but other than that the presentation is very nice. This is a perfect little prototype for a larger concept :)

thanks for playing! Sound is on my list of things to learn soon. Right after animation.

I thought the models and general style of this was very unique! I enjoyed seeing a different take on the theme and game jam. Good work!

Nice concept.

The perspective and the fact that the aiming and shooting are automated makes it a bit unusual at first but once you get the hang of it it’s fun to play.

I also like the fact that you didn’t went for just a classic “if the player’s health goes to 0 game over” approach and also have to manage the enemies on the pannel for it not to tilt too much and fall.

My only gripe here gameplay wise is that there’s eventually so many enemies on one side that the pannel gets an angle where even if you go to the opposite dirrection you’re doomed, and a bit of a shame the game has no sound as well :(

Other than these small issues it’s pretty good, and i like the robot’s design as well ^^

I dont know if it was just me, but after like 10 seconds of controlling the solar panel it would just throw me of..

You'll slide off if you get hit by too many projectiles

Very nice, I thought it was a very interesting use of the theme :3

Thanks for playing! I wanted to try something different based off some less traditional bullet hells I'd seen recently.

Cool Models! The game got repetitive after a bit, but I really admire the effort to put together a 3D GAME (Thats a lot of work) Overall, nice work.

I appreciate the feedback! I agree, the game needs more depth. Unfortunately I only had time for the core mechanic.

I wish we could aim ourselves

Developer

i really wanted the focus to be on navigating the stage and dodging rather than aiming, but you're right.
