I missed only two notes! but I got mostly good hits :’) anyway, cool song! can’t wait for more levels. could be funny if birds would do a little cheep when you activated them, like they sang with the song
Oh nice! I plan to add nice sound effects so you can hear them sing and also an error sound if you miss or click unnecessarily. Thanks for playing!
i usually dread these kind of games as they kind of test your reflexes haha,
but great work.
Haha same, but I wanted to try and make one myself. Thank you!
I loveeee rhythm games so I loved this one too. Good job!! It could use a lot more feedbacks but for a game that's been made in such a short time it's pretty good I think :3 Nice song too btw!
Thanks so much!
Very cute game! The music was very good. The controls were a little difficult for me because of the space between each key and I kept instinctively pressing adjacent keys instead. Otherwise fun game!
Thank you! Yeah initially I had that issue too, but I felt having the keys closer together may have felt too cramped, but maybe I'll try it out.
Ey!!! what cute game. But it's too much for my unsynchronized body... lmao
Hahaha thank you!
This would be 10/10 if it had a song with actual birds singing.
And i wish it had some hitsound.
But the concept is nice, it takes courage do to rythm game but it fits the theme so nicely!
Thank you for the feedback! My initial plan was to try to record some or find some birdsongs online to put in the game but I wasn’t sure how I would put them together to make a song. Maybe I’ll do that next time for added challenge to myself! But I’m glad you liked it!
Awesome concept and execution here! I had a blast playing your game, but the controls did feel a little clunky to me—maybe it'd be better played on a gamepad? I also found myself wishing for even more visual or audible feedback when hitting/missing a note. Great visuals! Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Thanks for the feedback! The gamepad idea is interesting, and I'll see if I can implement that, but I will definitely be changing the controls to a vertical system for it to make more sense. Adding more SFX is also on my to do list, but glad you enjoyed the game!
I'm not on equal terms with pianists.
Good job, maybe they should have added a sound when pressing a button
Hahaha, me neither. Thanks for the feedback! I plan to add some proper SFX and more fitting controls soon!
This entry felt very polished. Short and sweet!
Thank you!!
This was fun! I liked the music a lot and the graphics, gui etc was all nicely designed -awesome job! :D
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love rhythm games <3. Only thing that i think is missing is bird sounds when you press button. And controls are a bit uncomfortable, but othervise cute game <3
Thank you! I have made some mental notes of things to add, and along with changing the notes to move vertically, I plan to adds hit and miss sound effects to add onto the game.
really fun rhythm game!! the control scheme was a little hard to grasp at first but I got the hang of it by the end
Thanks! Yeah that's what I'm hearing from most people, so hopefully the next update makes it a better experience!
Nice Guitar Hero Clone. Still has 2 big issues the controls, are strange, i would stuck to wasd , maybe a double with the arrows for confrort, you can make these custom controls but you have them to mach the control, for example pinball games in controlles, make you use the direction left button on the arow pat and the button most on the right, and 1 triger for each side to simulate cheat... bend the machine phisically
That is the reason with most of these type of games make the notes falls to be easier to associate to the arrow arrange of keys.
the biggest issue it's that you can arrange your fingers to keep pressing all the buttons at the same times, and easily beat the game without really playing it. There should be a penality each time we press and don't hit any note.
PD: it think it explain a little to much. ( :-d)
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the most common critique I have received so far is the controls feeling a little unnatural, and I can see why that is. I guess I just kind of got used to it when making the game and didn't think to change it. As for pressing all the buttons at the same time, that definitely is an easy cheat to get through the level, so I plan to make a penalty for that and update the game after the voting period.
that would do it.
you can rotate the seeting of the game if you want to keep the controls. and maybe you can play over it rotating the setting middle game in harder dificulty(like when someone invert the control as a debuf effect in plataformers)
Oooh that's a cool idea, maybe if I make a second level I can introduce that challenge.
Nice and simple, good job !
Thank you!
Well done haha!
I absolutely love rhythm games, I made one for the furry jam about a couple of months ago so I feel your pain lol . great job love the art and the music, the only thing is that the difficulty is really hard at the start , maybe less notes at the start and build up as you go along , however great job for a short jam.
Thank you so much!! Yeah syncing the beats up to the song takes way longer than you’d think LOL. As for the notes I was thinking about making an easy and hard level but just ran out of time, so it might be smth I add after the voting ends!
Annoying (because I'm bad at it) and addictive game. Good job!
Haha thank you!
This is great for your first rhythm game! It would be even better though if the bird position matched with the controls, or if the controls were changed a bit.
Really like it!
Thank you! I will be changing the positions when the jam ends, as that's what most people seem to want to see.
