[FREE] Looking for artists for pixel art and 2D anime art for the game

Hello everyone! I want to create my own game. It's called Porcelain Tears. The main issue for me right now is that my drawing skills are too low to be the illustrator for my own game. I’m a future Gestalt therapist, so I want the game to truly be called “psychological.” Personally, I will focus my efforts on the plot and mechanics. Most of the game will be in a pixel art style, but for the dialogue windows, I’ll also need character art in a 2D anime style.

I am looking for enthusiasts who are willing to work from the start to the finish of the game. The game is not intended as a commercial project, but if it becomes popular later on, of course, I will share an agreed-upon portion of the revenue with those who helped create the game. For now, I consider this project a hobby, so I am looking for like-minded people who are interested in creating the game together with me for free. It’s important that you enjoy the atmosphere of the game and can convey it through your artwork. And of course, I expect warm and friendly collaboration. Let’s create this game with joy! Below are some more details about the game:

Genre: Psychological horror, adventure game.

Engine: RPG Maker MZ

Game vibes: Quiet, anxious loneliness. Doll-like aesthetics with a hint of cute goth. A blend of pastel melancholy with ghosts and their mysterious past.

Main Idea:

This is a game about loneliness, which you can’t always see but can feel with your whole body.

Description:

In a ghost village lives a porcelain doll. She looks almost human, but she insists she has no feelings or emotions. You can either become part of this world or be unnoticed forever. This world doesn’t always respond to words—sometimes, silence is the only answer.

Below, I will attach a mind map of what I found on Pinterest that seems to match the atmosphere I imagine for this game. Thank you for your attention!

Heya! You're still looking for 2D artist? I'm an illustrator and I would like to work with the 2D art, this project of yours seems really interesting, I liked the vibe a lot.

Hi, yes, I'm still looking for a 2D artist!

Perfect! Here's my temporary portfolio, I'm still building a new one. Please keep in mind that DeviantArt doesn't cover all the art I do. I can try to do anime if you want, but my strengths are stylized art - anime, cartoons, and especially chibis.

One question I have is if there are any other 2D artists, just to see if I'll be working in a group, following a certain art style - basically to preapre myself.

Let me know if you like my art, and I'll send you a friend request on Discord.

Oh, another thing. If you want more people, is good to post this in Help Wanted or Offered too. Artists look for projects there, more than here.

I looked through your portfolio. Since you mentioned that you have more works, I obviously can’t fully assess how well your style suits what I’m looking for. However, if you’re confident that you can convey a similar atmosphere and draw in a style that’s unfamiliar to you, then it’s worth giving it a try.

At the moment, no one else has responded to this post, so I don’t know yet if there will be others. I can draw a little myself, so although I don’t have experience with pixel art, I’m currently improvising my way through it  haha.

Also, thank you for your advice. I’m new here, so I didn’t know how to properly post.

I'm confident bout my art and I loved this atmosphere, but I can't say that all of this is normal to me - I'm a begginer in the game development world.

What about we do this? I'll go and do some art following what you need, and then you decide if my art suits or not. If I can stay to help another artist with the arts for your project, well, it would depend on you and the artist.

I hope you can find some helpful hands, it's always good - and I believe your doing well. Oh, and your welcome bout the advice, it's ok. With time, you'll get used to here and how things works... I consider myself new here too, but I try to help with what I know.

Alrighty I don't think anyone has anything to lose by giving it a try. You can add me on your Discord

Thanks for the chance! Sended you the friend request.

I'm starting to change my name on platforms to my official artist name, so it must appear this new one here, Daydree.
