Of COURSE I missed the part of the max length being 60 seconds...ugh. Welp, enjoy 4 minutes of nonsense if that's allowed. There's no way of shortening it either.

Sorry first time doing a gamejam so hopefully not a stupid question.

I noticed that the rules say "Uploading a web release additionally is allowed and recommended to increase visibility."

Does this mean creating an itch.io page for the entry or is this referring to how GB Studio can export a web version and you submit that.

The latter yeah - To submit on itch you have to create a game page, but the jam only requires you to submit a page that includes the game's ROM file (.gb/c). the HTML export just makes it easier for people to play/experience your submission since they don't need to download the file.
