Neat little game with a cool rewind mechanic, well done implementing that. The 1-bit style was simple but effective, I liked the plane crash animation. Great job on the sound effects as well!

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you like rewind mechanic, graphics, and sound

Cool entry with a cool rewind mechanic. LOVE that this is mobile-friendly. You also nailed the A Capella wildcard, which was cool to discover as I didn't actually notice that they were all mouth-sounds at first :)

Great work!

PS: I would recommend marking this as mobile friendly on the itch page's settings because currently the site tells you "this is not designed to run on your device" on mobile.

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the rewind mechanic and acapella sound, I tried making music... decided not to include it.

I just switched it to mobile friendly, thanks for mentioning.

Nice idea, I love the crystal mechanic (but can we trigger it without crashing?).

Developer

Glad you liked it, oddly enough I never thought about that will need to think of the best way to implement that - the game is designed for mobile, but probably could put a button on the screen somewhere

Or touch and hold to rewind (until you release).
BTW, very few games meant for mobile in this gamejam. Kudos for that.

Nice game! I liked the 1-Bit artstyle and the time rewinding. One thing I would recommend is varying the gameplay a bit more.

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the art and time rewinding mechanic, I agree the game gets a little boring, but time limits and desire to make simple game kept it were it was.

This was super fun! When I hit that first dead end and saw the rewind feature I was hooked. Great job!

Developer

Glad you liked it, was going for simple but fun

Quite simple design but it was fun!

The time crystal mechanic is really cool, I would have loved to see a shop as well so it’s really pushing risk/reward (though I’m not sure what you’d buy at the shop, maybe just sell the crystals for fuel? Typical me, over-complicating a game jam). I really appreciated the multiple speeds for rewinding, it would have been really annoying dying on some of those long corridors then having to go through it at one speed in reverse.

Developer

Thanks for playing and glad you liked the time crystal mechanic, if you run out of time crystals there is something like a store...

Not sure if you used the side bar to rewind but you can explicitly go anywhere in the past.

I was getting ready to write this off as a basic bottom-to-top navigator, but then ran into a dead-end, used a time crystal, and was exposed to the "rewind mechanic"—which I thought was innovative (at least in the game jam scene).

Happened once where I collecting a second time crystal in one scene, the plane increased its speed, but this coincided with a massive lag that had me crash into an avoidable wall (this was on the web version, though).

Ended my playthrough after the twelfth level, as without any progression feedback, presumed it was endless, but I liked this idea a lot. Also the UI sidebar that tells you how far into the level you are. Little touches make all the difference. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and the constructive feedback.

This is probably my most basic game to date (aside from unfinished ones...), but glad the time reversal made it more interesting.

The game is endless but was intended to continue to get harder/longer as you go.
