Tell us about your PROGRESS.
I had the idea for this game around February, but it only existed as a spreadsheet when I first saw and joined this jam: I had tested out writing one of the scenarios for the first day before. So, I completed it and wrote a *ton* of it because of this jam!

The work I did was mainly doing a bunch of variable testing: both in terms of the player's choices, but every day except one (and the very last day) has a series of random events which can happen. Overall, the game is 9,764 words long, so it was a lot of writing.

Tell us about the project's IMPACT.
I feel really, really proud to have finished. I've tested as much as I can before the jam's deadline (and hopefully can test a little bit more afterwards), so I feel there will still be a little more to do in terms of tidying up and tweaking. And there will almost certainly be quite a few bugs in terms of the variables and the endings, and the maths... But I made my first full game! I'm super proud of myself!

I don't know about changing the world, but I hope this game makes people think a bit more about their goals or ambitions, and how they can affect people around them. Both positively and negatively. :)

Congrats on making your first full game!

I really like the setting and the overall atmosphere of desperation. At the end, I had to stop and think about whether I'd talk to Red before leaving or not (I left him... and I feel bad about it, but I didn't want to risk getting stuck there.)

I played part-way through another run to see what else might happen, and it seems there's some nice breadth to the things that can happen.

The reviews were a really nice touch, too.

Nice work!

Thank you so much!!! The feedback is really appreciated, and it's really nice to hear what pathway you went down! (And don't feel bad, it's tough out there, you gotta do what you can to survive...)
Thank you so so much again for hosting the jam, I never would have finished this otherwise: and I'm looking forward to playing your submissions and some of the other games this evening! :D
