I actually thought it was pretty satisfying to shoot, the damage felt good and I'm assuming the character jerking about was to simulate gun recoil? I think it adds a small layer of challenge, but the recoil needs to push the character in the opposite direction to where they are firing for it to be really effective.
Lastly I tried multiple times but could not get the building or the artefact mechanic to work at all. Pressing Q, then clicking anywhere didn't build anything. I thought it might be due to lack of resources, but I had over 500 bones. Unless you've coded it to work with a different keyboard layout to mine (QWERTY) then I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Good effort though and well done for getting it submitted so close to the end of the jam.
Hello, thanks for checking out the game! If you press Q, you should be able to select some tiles on the ground. However, it doesn't work when there are enemies on top of it. That is intentional. The artifact mechanic should work tho...
It's got a nice variety of enemies that you can shoot and kill but what I don't understand about why is my character jerking from right to left every time I fire my gun to the enemies coming from the top of the screen? The audio is a bit loud for when I die and went to the game over screen.
Newtons rule. When you fire a bullet, you get jerked to the other direction. Thanks for checking out the game!
